Think your right jossie...i dont think i'll be as early as one of my gps think.

How are you both doing???

Things have been busy here as usual...although i am taken things easy, got to now as im nackered, seem to be having 3-4 hours sleep during the day now which i cant quite beleive...and still able to sleep no bother at night, may as well do it while i can.

Hope things are ok with you both x

Jossiejump · 21/06/2007 19:10

Wow that's an amazing amount of sleep!!
I'm permanently tired at the moment, but haven't been looking after myself particularly well though
Just trying to decided whether to go to a top ultrasound specialist that a friend recommended-got as far as dialling to make the appt, having spoken to them already today, but chickened out a the last moment-I want to know, but am scared to find out in cae they tell me news I don't want to hear.
Hope you are both well

lynnec · 24/06/2007 18:01

Jossie, how did you get on with the decision making...about the ultra sound????
I dont think it matters what stadge you go to these things in your pg, i have one in a couple of weeks just to double check lo isnt too big, but im still terrified, incase they find something...even although lo seems happy enough in there. Its got to the stadge now when i stand speaking to people, theres a leg, hand or head popping out my stomache which is now very noticable to others

How are you eddie??? We havent heard from you in a few days now...how you getting on with the house? Hope you are keeping ok.

Well hopefully you are both well and having a nice weekend.

Jossiejump · 25/06/2007 22:25

Hiya
I had a detailed private scan today-it was incredibly clear. The sonographer couldn't find any downs syndrome markers, this doesn't mean that it definately isn't downs syndrome, but it makes it more unlikely.
I was so stressed about the appt, but glad I went

lynnec · 26/06/2007 21:20

Aw jossie, thats good!!! I bet its put your mind at ease. Hope you are keeping well.

Edie...how are you????

EdieMcredie · 27/06/2007 08:38

Hiya girls.

Josie, so glad about the scan!!!

Are you finding out the sex?

Lynne how far are you now?

We have had a couple of viewings on the house but no offers as yet. Still early days. We are going to CenterParcs in Nov for 4 nights and am excited about that as we will be taking baby!!

Nothing much else to report, on mat leave in a week and a bit

OP posts:
Jossiejump · 27/06/2007 15:12

Edie good that your maternity leave is soon
We have found out the sex, but are keeping it secret for the time being!!!
Good to hear from you-I wondered how you were doing

EdieMcredie · 27/06/2007 18:16

Oh no you can't keep it a secret from us!!!!!!!

OP posts:
Jossiejump · 27/06/2007 20:54

I will tell you-but not until I've told my mum!

Jossiejump · 27/06/2007 21:00

Forgot to say-told DSs tonight, they were really pleased, DS2 has been pleading for a baby for ages, broody at the age of 3, they both love babies and DS1 was fantastic with DS2 when he was tiny (not so good now as they sometimes fight, but they think the world of each other!)
DS2 said "I hope its a girl" DS1 said " I don't mind what it is because I will love it all the same!", but I know that DS1 secretly wants another brother! DS2 then said he wanted to see the baby now and found it a little too much to handle mentally when I said it was inside my tummy, DS1 asked how would it get out, I just reminded him of his trip to the local farm to see the lambs being born!!

lynnec · 27/06/2007 23:01

Aw jossie, thats brilliant the way the boys are with lo. Me and dh were talking about how we'd have to involve the boys as much as poss, even although they alot older, i think its still important to involve were possible...also they'll make brilliant helpers...well ds will anyway s/sons have both been brain washed by their mother, that once lo arrives dad wont want anything to with them (mad cow)

Edie, good to hear things are ok with yourself. Hope all goes well with the house.

I have 4 weeks left to go i cant beleive it!!!!! Been getting bh for the last week so not sure if things will happen sooner

Glad you are both well x

Jossiejump · 28/06/2007 19:34

I didn't realie that you had stepsons as well!!
Oh its getting really close for you now Lynne-remember we wantto know as soon as anything happens!!!

lynnec · 30/06/2007 13:17

I know Jossie, cant believe it The last week ive been getting more and more period like pain in my stomache and back..last night i had severe tightings in the lower stomache as if the baby head was getting in to the engaged posistion(not sure though) tried for ages to feel its head and couldnt...just kept getting kicked Today im feeling sick and yucky, so not sure whats happening in there.

How are you two feeling???
Hope you are both well.
Enjoy your weekend x

Jossiejump · 30/06/2007 21:41

Oooh exciting Lynne!! DS1 didn't engage prior to labour, with DS2 I felt it very clearly one day when in the car-it actually hurt a little and felt really odd.
Am shattered to day as it was DS1's school fete-I was on cakes, sold 120 Krispy creme doughnuts and 30 large cakes, was there from 9am setting up until 4pm when the fete finished-got soaked, but it was worth it, the cakes and doughnuts alone raised £140! Don't know the total amount raised yet.
Hope you are not too wet-can't believe about that car crashing it to the airport up your way Lynne, horrifying

lynnec · 02/07/2007 16:35

Well done Jossie with the cakes!! Dont know how you managed that all day!! Know wonder you were nackered.

Just back from the gp...had some very strange movement going on again last night, felt more period like pain in lower back and stomache, thought the baby was trying to get its head out but doc says in second pg babies head doesnt engadge until you are in labour ?????So god knows!!! Cant beleive im 37 weeks

How far are on are you two now???
How are you both feeling???
Ive got a terrible cold just now and its floored me...i feel terrible, but hopefully it clears up soon.

Hope you are both well. x

Jossie, thats was bad at the airport, you just dont know the minute do you????

EdieMcredie · 02/07/2007 17:36

Glad you are both well.

Josie sounds like you did well with the cakes! Making my mouth water though...

God Lynne, 37 weeks, how utterly exciting!

Saw my MW today who says things all good. Im 30 weeks this Thurs and baby is already in a good position she says. Also had my GTT results which came back fine so that's a relief. Start my mat leave this Sunday!!!

Josie, can we know the sex yet??!

OP posts:
lynnec · 02/07/2007 20:16

OMG Edie...didnt think you were that far on!!! How have you been feeling???Glad mat leave is this week, you'll be glad of that!

The last two days ive found morning/all day sickness has returned..cant seem to eat anything now, and im bringing it back up...sorry tmi.

Jossie how far on are you???

Jossiejump · 02/07/2007 21:35

Wow you two have been chatty!!
Lynne, sounds to me like you're getting set to go-although I do disagree about second babies not engaging before labour!!
I'm very envious of you two being so close to having your babies.
OK Edie I give in, my football team is going to get bigger!!

EdieMcredie · 03/07/2007 20:22

Oh wow so a little boy then , you must be thrilled!!

Yes 30 weeks!

There is some strange stuff going on in chat where a woman is apparently dead but others suspect it is infact the woman herself saying it for attention. Odd.

I still wish we could all meet up, I can't believe what we have all been through together.

OP posts:
Jossiejump · 03/07/2007 20:39

I know what you mean about meeting up, it woud be interesting if we are the type of people we each would have been drawn to in real life (if that makes sense).
It's really strange, but being told I'm having a boy (which I am pleased about, I wasn't desperate for a girl, but would have been equally happy if it had have been, although I don't do pink and fluffy!!) it does make wonder if I can't carry girls and that maybe the m/cs were girls, I'm seeing my consultant next week so may ask him, the chromosone tests didn't pick anything up, but I'm just curious if he can think of any reason.
I'm going to have to look at the chat threads-I did read another message about lots of trolls at the moment and someone else pointed out that some schools have broken up, so maybe there are some teenagers who have seen mumsnet in the papers and fancied a wind up!!!

EdieMcredie · 04/07/2007 08:56

Yes it's funny, we are probably completely different in RL to how each of us has imagined. The sex thing could be interesting, ive heard about that before. Could be worth asking about.

I was convinced I was having a boy and when we were told it was a girl we were quite shocked. Me and DP also refuse to do the pink thing, the things that we have bought are all cream, blue or green but the things that people have given us are mostly pink. We don't mind, don't want to be ungrateful, just think a lot of the pink stuff is quite unimaginitive and usually has some kind of slogan on HATE slogans.

Now if it turned out to be a boy I think I would be pretty devastated for a little while. Not because we wouldn't want a boy, it would be fantastic, but because now we have grown so close to a little girl and it would feel like she had gone somewhere...

Anyway, either way, the most important thing is that our bundles arrive safe and healthy which I know they will. We are so excited, I keep trying to imagine what she looks like etc. We have even booked CenterParcs for 4 nights shortly after she is born. We are taking friends with us who have offered to babysit while we have a pamper and we are going to take baby swimming (she will be just over 2 months) which im really excited about!

Gosh ive gone on and on. Hope you are both well.

OP posts:
Jossiejump · 04/07/2007 21:24

We booked a holiday for when DS2 was 9 weeks old- we went to Cornwall, he and I flew down, whilst DS1 and DH drove down, then I flew back with both the boys at the end. It was a really good holiday as he was a great age to do that (it helped that he started to sleep a full 12 hours through the night that week, something that DS1 didn't manage ever and still doesn't!), the hotel was a luxury one where we hired a nanny whilst we went to dinner (we can never afford to do that!).
That reminds me I can't recommend gro bag sleeping bags highly enough-they didn't do newborn ones with DS1, but I'm sure that it what helped DS2 sleep through so soon.

lynnec · 04/07/2007 23:15

Know what you both mean about the sex, although we have 3 boys between us, id more than happy for another boy, everyone keeps saying "OH I BET DEEP DOWN U REALLY WANT A GIRL" but really we dont care, think once you've gone through having a mc you just hope all goes well, know matter what the sex is.

Jossie, thats brilliant...another wee boy, do you have any names yet??

Me and dh were talking about going on holiday and i was going ask what sort of age youd both take lo on holiday, so now i know, thats quite good, dh thought next summer was even too early, but i really wanted to take ds on holiday as hes missed out this year.

Im glad you are both well!

Ive just noticed this evening that my ankles have swollen up today, ive never had this before, so going to rest and hope it disappears soon.

Have a nice week! x

Jossiejump · 05/07/2007 11:27

We've not really talked about names, as have felt too scared to, but I really like Jack or maybe Billy. The girls names I liked were Amelia or Emily.
Hope your ankles are ok today Lynne

lynnec · 05/07/2007 20:00

Those are all lovely names Jossie.Know what you mean about not deciding the name thing..we were the same.

Ankles seem to be fine today, think it was the gaviscon...should only be drinking 50ml per day...i was taking about 100ml and the chemist did say although it can do no harm to me or baby it may cause ankles to swell, so trying my hardest to cut down today, although its very hard as the heartburn is so severe no matter what i eat or drink.

Ment to say about the babies head being engaged with the second pg...quite a few people have said the same as yourself so not so sure about that one either!

Edie how are you getting on??
Any change with house??

Hope you are both keeping well x
