Aw thats brilliant edie!!! Are you going to tell anyone its a girl??
How far on are you now??

Jossie how have you been eeling?? Are you still being sick??

My sickness seems to have come back, its not too bad though, still got to stick to fruit, veg and salads not complaining though as ive lost a bit of weight and that was my main worry putting on alot weight with the pg.

Hope you are both well.x

Jossiejump · 01/05/2007 13:42

Hiya
Edie that's fantastic!!!!
I'm not doing too bad-just feel sick when I get tired.
Have lost a couple of pounds in weight (not deliberately, but because I can't eat chocolate (used to eat it every day ).
Have expanded from my diaphragm, mainly because the muscles there didn't heal properly after DS1, but no bump to speak of, although have to wear jeans with a long top so I can keep the button undone!
Have only been sick once, when cleaning my teeth, but generally feel a bit yuck. Just worry about every little twinge ( would have had these with the boys but not noticed). Desperately want to get to 13 weeks, don't know when my next scan is yet.
Anyway enough about me, hope you are both doing well and congratulations again Edie

EdieMcredie · 02/05/2007 08:52

Yes I was really not looking forward to that scan. I had got it into my head that something would be wrong but apparently everything is fine. Got a really good pic too, you can even see her nose!

Also last night DP managed to feel her kick which was nice as previously every time I grabbed his hand, she stopped!

Now just can't wait to get this flight out of the way, 7 hours and 45 minutes although will be great once we get there...

Hope you are both well xx

Thats brilliant edie, im so happy for you x

Jossie how have you been feeling??

Hope you are both keeping well. x

Jossiejump · 04/05/2007 20:11

Hiya
Not doing too bad, have told a few people now, so it feels a bit more real.
Had a horrible headache for two days-and DH is fed up of me not letting him kiss me when he has had coffee or chocolate as the smell makes me ill!!
Hope you are both well-has it been to hot in the north for you Lynne?

lynnec · 06/05/2007 12:19

The weather has been brilliant here jossie, ive been taken my afternoon nap out on the sun lounger, only 45 mins though, dont want to over do it...so im very tanned, people keep asking if ive been abroad.

Im glad you are keeping well...i can sympathise with the chocolate thing, im still the same, though the last week all ive wanted to smell is the underground or concrete when all the concrete came off the bathroom wall with the old tiles it was brilliant i could just go in whenever i wanted to smell the concrete walls
and now the new tiles are up i cant do and im so gutted.

Edie i hope you are keeping well and enjoy your holiday. x

Jossiejump · 07/05/2007 16:13

Not heard of that one before lynne
Have a good holiday Edie

lynnec · 08/05/2007 18:03

Jossie, i know....it is quite embarrassing, had ask our plumber if he had any bits of concrete left from our bathroom wall
luckily he understood as his wife's craving was coal i didnt get any concrete and felt this urge of panick because i needed it so badly also couldnt stop thinking about it along with the smell from the underground i have managed to find a similar smell to both ...in our celler so im constantly in and out of there.Dh keeps given me strange looks cant blame him though!!!

I hope you are keeping well, whens your next appointment with the hospital???

Jossiejump · 09/05/2007 21:05

I've got a scan next week (12 wks) on THursday at 8.40, have to say I'm worrying again, but I suppose that is only natural

lynnec · 09/05/2007 22:36

Jossie, its only normal for you to worry with what you have gone through. I dont think the worry ever stops, this lo seems to be active most times of the day and night but even when its not im prodding and poking my stomache to make sure everythings ok in there. Goodluck with the scan..i'll be thinking of you! Had my 28 week antibody blood test today, that went well (thats a fisrt for me) usually they need 4-5 attempts at getting blood from me but today it was my gp as the nurse was on holiday and she got it first time (PHEW) thats the worst part of the pg for me (blood tests)
I hope all is well and you are keeping ok.The weathers changed here now and im so of edie enjoying her holiday and the lovely weather.
Hope your weeks going well x

Jossiejump · 10/05/2007 21:22

Glad your blood test went ok Lynne-I'm lucky that they don't worry me (unlike when I am asked to swallow a tablet, I have to ask for children's medicine instead ).
Worried today because I felt too well-but then felt rough at work, so that's ok. I can't believe I'm not that interested in food, school dinners are a blessing as all I have to do is choose, no prep needed. Having said that, now I'm off sweet stuff, I love savoury and the Penn State pretzels from Tesco are lovely, I shudder to think what my salt levels are like, I normally hardly eat any salt!

lynnec · 12/05/2007 13:32

Im still struggling to eat myself jossie, i dont have any notions at all....except for smells, still concrete and the underground or even dampness, got a smell of concrete from the new houses they are building at the top of my road and was so tempted to hang around there for a whilepeople think im mad when i tell them i just cant explain the feelings i get when i cant get to smell either of them, i just want to cry
How are you feeling theses days???
I have my four week check up on monday, my gp is saying i wont go full term as baby is so big (we'll see)
Hope you are having a nice weekend, do you have anything planned for the weekend??
We're just trying to get the bathroom finished, it feels as if its taking ages due to a friend doing most of the work, so hes fitting it in around his full-time job, it is getting there though, tiles are all up and bathroom suite in, just the new towel rail and shower to go in.
Take care! x

Jossiejump · 13/05/2007 20:13

Hi Lynne
Glad to hear that the bathroom is nearly done-we ordered ours 3 weeks ago to find out several days later that it wouldn't be available until 15th June and that we should have been told when we ordered it!!
Tired today-was helping organise the pre - school fete yesterday, DS2 was unwell last night so I only got 4 hours sleep and DS1 had a football tournament today-DH has been on nights all weekend, so hasn't been able to help, although did look after the boys this afternoon so I got 2 hours sleep. Will do the ironing tonight then crash out (such a fun life!)
Busy working this week as it is SATs week so I'm needed in more, so will catch up on sleep whenever possible.
Hope your weekend was good
J

lynnec · 13/05/2007 22:50

Jossie thats hard going for you with work, the boys and the general running of the house...especially with dh working, you must be nackered!!!
Ive been ok,the weekends been very quiet, dh working and ds out, so ive been sleeping whenever i can, i cant sleep at nights as my side goes numb after sleeping on it for 30-40 minutes so its toss and turn for me all night, cant sit for long either as my back gets very sore, so try and just plod about in the house or garden, im not complaining as the last 7months have been brilliant.

Hope you have a nice week at work, and take things easy!

Jossiejump · 15/05/2007 10:21

Have you tried V pillows, with both my boys I slept with one with the v under my bump and the points under my body, plu another one between my knees-seemed to help.
Getting really nervous about the scan now, although still feel rubbish, so that is a hopeful sign!
Really relieved that some work I was booked for tomorrow has been cancelled as I desperately need the time off
Best wishes

lynnec · 16/05/2007 17:32

Goodluck with the scan Jossie, i'll be thinking of you.
Had my 4 week check up and the dr says babies head is right down ...she wants to see me in another 3 weeksthe lo now measures 30cm thought i was going into labour twice this week (poss braxton hicks) ????? Not sure didnt have them with ds, but pain was so severe i wanted to cry.
I hope all goes well with scan...take care x

lynnec · 16/05/2007 17:32

whoops, sorry forgot to say, i'll try that with the pillow...thanks!

Jossiejump · 16/05/2007 21:17

Sounds hopeful about your LO, my BH were never painful, but there again, I have never had a contraction in my stomach as my boys were back to back.
Will let you know what happens tomorrow as soon as I can.
PS-DS2 was fully engaged abot a month before, but I was induced a week early due to leaking waters and my GBS, DS1 head only got as far as 3/5 engaged when I was in early labour!

lynnec · 16/05/2007 21:39

Everyone says that about the bh Jossie, i wouldnt know as i didnt have them with ds, just know these pains during the week were very, very painful..in lower stomache and lower back not sure what it was, and dr wasnt much help either, i usually go to another dr, she explains everything to me and tells me everything, the dr this week was very hush, hush about everything, which makes you wonder?????
Goodluck for tomorrow x

lynnec · 17/05/2007 16:00

Jossie, just popped in to see how you got on today, i'll check later on.

Jossiejump · 17/05/2007 19:29

Hiya Lynne
All went well-they moved me a couple of days further forward, happy so far. Apparently, due to the Clexane, I'll have to have regular scans from 28 weeks to monitor growth (don't know whether they'll be looking for too much or too little growth!), so we'll probably find out the gender before we have it.
Went public at work today, so got looked after a lot!

lynnec · 17/05/2007 21:38

Aw Jossie thats brilliant...im so happy for you!!! Take it easy and put your feet up when you can!
So pleased about your news as i was thinking about you all day.

Jossiejump · 19/05/2007 09:05

Thanks Lynne
I think I have a little more energy at the moment, although by 9 o clock at night I'm generally feeling sick and tired.
Big test will be next week-DH on nights tonight and tomorrow, then he is off to your part of the country (well lands at Glasgow airport) for a work conference Tuesday to wednesday. Will seem really strange not having him around, he doesn't stay away from home much apart from his shifts, we're a bit of a sad couple and tend to go away as a family if at all possible!

lynnec · 19/05/2007 21:21

Jossie, glad you are feeling ok, how long is dh away for? Im just 10minutes from Glasgow airport...hope hes not away too long, we're the same, we like to do everything as a family, call me boring but i prefer that way! Dh has been asked to go and work in Germany to give some training to the staff over there im having my doubts though, its suppose to be june, given im due 27th july that sounds ok, but baby now measures 34 weeks instead of 30 weeks so dont think he'll be going (just incase)when baby was measured the other day it was 30cm, i thought that was head to toe but it was head to bum
so i have my bag and everything ready along with the waxing appointments made just incase.
Hope you are having a nice weekend, we've just been finishing things of in the bathroom, dh is away for a few drinks tonight so ive just stained the new bathroom door, i had 2 hours sleep around 4pm-6pm so feeling very energetic (for now) found i cant sit about as my back gets too sore so im better off up and about doing something.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend....can you remember when edie is back????It must have been 2weeks she was away(LUCKY HER)enjoy that lovely weather
