I know apricot, even after having DD, which was really not too bad a birth, I didn't look that fresh - and I had a lovely long, hot shower straight afterwards to clean up. I'm pretty damn sure Nampara lacks hot running water........

Oh, Andy Murray's next opponent is Dustin Brown. Despite tennis being the sport of my youth and playing for the school, I never watch Wimbledon, but I might watch this one, and I'll be shouting for Dustin though I don't think he has much chance.

Ew the tattoo is horrible. In my opinion. That will not age well. I've seen a lot of older tattooed skin in my line of work and it ain't pretty.

Madame in temporarily in Japan on secondment and Mr C is also out here for 3 months work which just about coincides (a month out). Boys are at an international school here. It's all a bit nuts. But good nuts.

Also, ordered a copy of The Handmaid's Tale today. I have an idea I've read it before many many years ago but I could be wrong. Anyway, I've seen snippets of the TV adaptation which looks excellent but I don't want to watch any more until I've read the book. I shall save it for my holiday when I have very limited internet.

We had a traumatised mouse yesterday, rather than outraged. I'm afraid I just let Stupid Cat get on with it - though not sure she didn't lose it in a flowerbed eventually, since she was too busy playing with it rather than eating it.

I've been reading a book about Courtesans and Mistresses through the ages (thanks to a recommendation from anne) - the Real Life Ninion was a saucy wench and Anne of Austria had her shipped off to a convent for bad behaviour once she was Regent. It's also quite amusing reading how much time the timelines have been manipulated in Versailles...

Bloody tennis organisers have put the Murray -v- Brown match on second. Do they not realise I'll be at work? Can't even hope for a lengthy-ish rain delay because they'll just close the roof. Honestly, some folk have no consideration. The polite thing to do would be to give me tickets and organise and pay for my travel down there tomorrow and also provide me with an access all areas pass.
