DH & DS are now out at SaturdayMorningSportingActivity - I am having a lie-in. Except I'm not because the sun is splitting the sky and I can't waste this weather by lying in bed. Will head out to garden shortly...

Oh Athos exploded alright

Feeling a bit more human now.

Can totally relate to having a duracell bunny for a child. DH has not yet realised that "oh if he goes to bed a bit later, he'll have a lie in" does not in any way apply to DS2. He still gets up at stupid o'clock but we just have added ratbagness during the day.

Morning, beautiful day here, so of course DH has decided to prepare the side of the house for painting in the full sun. He's on a ladder over a perspex roof. He assures me he's safe.

Glad LetUs and Helen had a good evening, and happy wenchiversary to WW.

Buffy is in a bit of a state. Her fur is so dense that when her winter fur moults it gets trapped and forms mats on her chest and tummy. It's very time-consuming because it's so close to her skin, but strangely therapeutic. I really should have her more regularly.

Athos did very well with the suncream, thanks LetUs - except the back of my legs. And I now have fantastic tan burn lines between shorts ending and wellies starting. FFS - I'm old enough to know better, I really am I've also been out in the garden for over 6 hours today annd my back is doing it's best to express its disapproval.

Oh - and the spare hive has been colonised with bees - hurrah (I think) The other empty hive has wax moth. FFS.

Phew, it's hot. I've just put the summer duvet on the bed.

DH came down mid-afternoon. All is well.

Also Comtess says Ohayou gozaimasu (she doesn't really, but it seemed appropriate) and apparently she is working Japanese hours (i.e. 26-hours a day) and has no time for anything. Apart from a spa day to recover from working stupid hours. I added a massage (from TB) to the spa wish list. I suspect that may not have helped her with any coherent thoughts, but she was hoping to get in here and post something.
