Just local coucil elections here letus, I'm hoping there won't be too much of a queue tonight when I come to vote.

DS2 is thrilled as his school is a polling station (school are less thrilled), so he's off to grandma's today. It's a sort of tradition now that they have a grandchild with them when they go voting as over the years there's always been at least one of them affected by a school closure

Incedentally, has anyone else had run-ins with DPD - the fuckwits sent a 'sorry we missed you' email, saying that no-one was in to sign for a parcel yesterday. DH was in and signed for the coat-which-does-not-fit at almost exactly the same time as they sent the email saying that no-one was in.

I have sent a VERY sarcastic email back to them pointing out that in order to deliver, they need to physically go to the house in question and knock/ring doorbell etc. And I cc'd the retailer they were delivering for.

DPD did once charge me a customs handling charge for an item from America which was more than the cost of the goods (not import duty). I had it refunded by the supplier.

County council elections here too. I went this morning before work. It was quite busy, I think just people over 40 but def some in the 40-50 range. Whippersnappers!
