We're such badasses Letus Grin

ApricotCrush · 06/05/2017 20:17

Interesting article Helen, they're quite right, some of the programmes are ridiculous. The Last Kingdom wasn't like that though, oh no. Shock

Off to watch Jamestown now.

Very interesting article Helen

Have watched Doctor Who. DH and DS1 didn't massively enjoy it. I did. Thought David Suchet was fab. Still loving the writing too.

Back to Poirot now. More David Suchet! Speaking of Poirot, has anywench seen the photos of Kenneth Branagh's for the BBC Murder on the Orient Express? Wrong wrong wrong.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/05/2017 21:42

We had sticky pork ribs Grin

So, there was rather a lot of lifting and shifting today, which I may well pay for tomorrow.
What's the bedding like then Wicked?
Hope LetUs is out of lego hell.
Apricot we use some free software called Picasa to organise our photos on the computer, but I think that Google have stopped supporting it since they bought it out and I don't know if you can actually download it any more. They probably want to you load all you pictures into the 'cloud' and use their own software to organise it. Google can FTFO. #stubborn Grin

Doctor Who was good a proper scary one for DS at the start Grin Hopefully watching Versailles later, but then again I could do with a hot bath before bed, so may put off being disapproving of Phillipe for another day.

I heard George North mentioned on the radio today and thought of Comtess.
I miss talking rubbish in here with Comtess and Norah and Floppers and elk* et. al. Sad

Oh well.

Sticky pork ribs mmmmm... not as easy to get as a Magnum though Grin

Got two sets of Lego sorted. Eleventy billion more to go.

Ooh letus I'm on the Pimms tonight, marvellous stuff & I'm soooo in need of a drink - am totally knackered

May watch Versailles later, if I can stay awake Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/05/2017 22:14

hmmm... I didn't quite get that Athos - you think you could demonstrate again?

Not sure about Jamestown...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/05/2017 23:03

Ok, so the bath didn't happen, and neither did Versailles. Jamestown was ok in the end - despite historically inaccurate attitudes Grin and somewhat grim start.

Heading for the hayloft now - night all.

FancyFancy · 06/05/2017 23:06

Night helen

Am watching Versailles - more artfully arranged furniture to obsure any cocks ffs

LetUsPrey · 06/05/2017 23:22

Night Helen. Sweet Athos-y dreams

Gibbs was all emotional with his dad in tonight's episode. Awwww. Lovely and all but we want him shouty!

Versailles tomorrow with the ironing. I know how to live.

Night all - I'm off to the hayloft with... hmm... how to decide... I'll toss something. But still, how to decide? I think Paella and Dustin.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2017 08:59

This morning I am mostly channeling apathy.

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2017 09:37

Morning wenches.

Well my morning's plans have gone up the swanee. DS2 said he wasn't too well so no swimming or sportingactivity which means no Versailles and Grantchester whilst ironing. although he seems fine now

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2017 09:51

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

pfft to DS2 disrupting your plans. Sad
I really need to move my arse and stop mooching online. I have a garden that needs a flamethrower attention, an entire house tht needs cleaning, and I was going to bake a cake, and, and, and..... None of these things will happen if I don't shut down the computer and start to ddddddddddddooooooooooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttt.
(or I could go back to bed once DH gets up Grin )

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2017 10:11

Morning. I had to get up since Fräsan has been terrorising me Hmm Feel really lazy.

This is one of the beddings Helen, also got one in blue Smile (Or is it called bed set?)

FancyFancy · 07/05/2017 12:01

Afternoon, have been lounging around this morning. Like helen I am feeling apathetic, however the sun has actually come out now, so maybe I will finally get out & do stuff in the garden.

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2017 12:42

Lovely bedding Wicked. I love getting new bedding and new pyjamas. If I time it right, I go to bed in the new bedding wearing my new pyjamas - bliss!

My idea of doing stuff in the garden is sitting on the garden swing with a glass of Pimms.

HBI did well today: "Even if your hand moves, keep it tight" and later my personal favourite which prompted a snigger from me "and if you relax and keep going you can feel it going a bit further". I do sometimes feel like giving him a round of applause Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2017 13:07

Grin Letus

I shortened two pair of trousers since I'm a midget and also vacuumed, tried to decathair the house and also cleaned the bathroom. I think I deserve a break. Wish I had some Pimms Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2017 14:20

Watching Extreme Couponing, a woman spent nine hours in the store using 1100 coupons Confused

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2017 16:02

How much storage does she have at her house?!?!

Ironing done. Watched Grantchester mmmmm Sidney. Bastard Geordie though Angry. Watched Versailles. That bit between Marchal and the doctor whose name I forget was a bit phwooaaaar. I am also a bit cross with Philippe. Chevalier needs a kick.

Partway through Jamestown. Hmm not sure yet.

FancyFancy · 07/05/2017 16:43

I am very glad to hear the HBI was back on form letus Grin And I totally agree about Marchal being rather hot , the ending concerned me though Sad

ApricotCrush · 07/05/2017 17:05

Hello wenches. Lovely day, I've been out in the sun.

Marchal is indeed very hot, felt sorry for the Doctor, and agree with Fancy about the ending. Philippe is bonkers.

Watched Jamestown. I'm not sure either, it's a bit predictable in places. I don't like the bossy woman, I'm sure she wouldn't be able to just walk in and manipulate everyone. And how come Alice and Silas are madly in love when they've hardly spoken to each other. Anyway, I'll carry on with it and see how it goes.

Grantchester tonight. Poor Sidney and Amanda. Sad Bad Geordie. Angry

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2017 18:01

Oh LetUs I love your HBI. DS1 is never allowed to give it up, or get lifts there with anyone else - ok? Or you'll have to take it up instead.

What did you think about Jamestown in the end? I was very Hmm for the first half I'd say then decided that it was very predictable silly, and entertaining fluff. Vadim is in it too, being Sir George Yeardley. tbh, I spent a lot of the episode going - "oh - who's that - I know that face..." I suspect I shall spend the next episode going "Remind me - who is that one?!"
Apricot - of course Silas and Alice are madly in lust love with each other - they have exchanged meaningful looks and the plot demands it. Do not question The Plot Grin

I have't watched Versailles still, since I have spent the day hoovering then getting into the garden and breaking myself (hopefully an exaggeration). On the plus side, I've now cleared out a massive nettle and ivy bed ready for a new shed. On the downside, it still needs to be levelled...

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2017 18:52

DS1 will carry on!

Silas is fairly hot in Jamestown, and the posh chap was the nice one from Midsomer Murders. I'll carry on with it. and ignore the lazyish casting

Looking forward to next week's Versailles. And tonight is The Durrells and Grantchester!
