Morning all. DS got a new alarm clock yesterday. He wanted to set it for 6:50. "FFS" think I - still better than 6:30. OK.
So he came into bed with me at 6:10 then got up again at 6:20, and said he'd be back for me in half an hour. (He was.)
Since then I have fed the cat, sorted out the chickens, made/eaten/cleared up breakfast, and I still feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Today we need to borrow a van and do a tip run to get rid of lots of 'well it might be useful.... ' sort of stuff. We are never gong to make a pond or bog garden with the old bath. The dead dishwasher will never be converted to a mouse-proof apple store. We are never going to get rid of the old BBQ unless we take it to a tip. etc.

So I need to check opening times of the local tips and what they will/won't let us bring in. DH is still asleep.

Helen - you have my sympathies re the early riser with an alarm clock. Oh the fun we had when DS2 got his radio alarm clock and hadn't quite got the hang of the settings, especially the volume. Good re the getting rid of stuff though. HASN'T HELEN ACHIEVED A LOT SO FAR THIS MORNING. OH SORRY, DID I WAKE YOU?

I took photos of some Playmobil yesterday for putting on eBay. Need to get those listed. My theory is that if I sort some of the smaller sets first, then it'll be easier to sort the big sets after.

Oh - was that Fancy? soz - I just thought someone had lit a fire after I went to the hayloft last night. Someone's going to have to do something about those HBFs - they're a health and safety risk when they smoulder like that - not a wonder there's so much fire damage in here.

Now they just look like cheesy superheros.

We'll just have to be more careful.

Good luck with listing stuff LetUs I just told DS abotu plans for the tip - including his old trampoline - those toddler ones with the handle that they hold onto while they bounce. His old one to too small for him, and broken. But no - he doesn't want us to get rid of it

I'm supposed to be getting in the shower. I'm watching the London Marathon instead. Already getting emotional at some of the stories as to why people are running. It's Brendan Foster's last year of commentating and that made me well up so I think I'd better switch off and get a move on.

Just watched the footage of Matthew Rees in the London Marathon where he helped a fellow runner who was on the point of collapse to finish. One of the marshalls helped too. I cried.

Had a lovely time catching up with friends and setting the world to rights last night, but got in very late, so I'm tired now.

I'm also doing eBaying, they have a very good offer on this weekend so I'm sorting stuff out.

Is the marathon over yet please? I have a relation-in-law-sort-of who was doing it and he's been posting on FB every day with his training, together with pics yesterday of the start and finish and all sorts of other stuff so I feel as if it's being going on for months. I know it's a great achievement, but........

Hope Fancy and Madame are having a lovely time.
