Bollocks to technology fails

Love the outfit Apricot! I forgive you for running out of eggs Grin

Did Athos find the soap Helen? He said he would help you look for it in the bath.

Have to be careful when I'm scrolling through holiday photos on my iPad. Like the time I was showing MIL some photos and I hadn't realised I'd come to the end of the holiday snaps and the next one was of Paella shirtless and tanned on his holidays. Whoops.

Hayloft for me x

Wink

You're probably right helen. Although yesterday afternoon it did a long-winded update (took a fecking age) & has been running rather well ever since Confused

LetUsPrey · 16/04/2017 08:36

Morning wenches

Happy Easter!

Lots of visiting to do today. No washing as it's due to piss it down all day.

Badders123 · 16/04/2017 08:59

Happy Easter 🐣 everyone
Off downstairs to give the dc their easter gifts 🎁

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/04/2017 09:49

How do you celebrate easter in the UK? Any special traditions?

OP posts:
Badders123 · 16/04/2017 09:51

Church
Egg rolling
Egg hunt
Roast lamb for lunch
Lots and lots of chocolate and cake
👍

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/04/2017 09:55

Happy Easter!!

The main aim ww is to have your children vomiting chocolate by the end of the day.

Grin
LetUsPrey · 16/04/2017 09:56

For us we give chocolate eggs, the DC sometimes get small presents off grandparents instead of chocolate. My parents usually get us a plant for the garden which DH looks after. That way, should the plants survive, we have things in the garden from family year after year.

We're not religious so no church service.

FancyFancy · 16/04/2017 10:20

Mooooorning.

Erm, what madame said basically Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/04/2017 10:20

Morning all. Happy Easter. May your day be filled with chocolates and HBFs...

LetUs - yes, he searched for the soap most thoroughly, in the most unlikely of places Blush Grin

Here we fill cardboard (?) eggs with candy and give away. And the kids dress up as easter hags and go around the neighbourhood collecting candy or money if you're really unlucky you get fruit in exchange for easter cards they draw themselves Easter Smile

LetUsPrey · 16/04/2017 10:41

That sounds fun Wicked!

Oh dear Helen, my eggs seem to have exploded after looking at that picture

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/04/2017 11:11

Easter hags ww???

Do tell...I love all this stuff. It sounds like you do a mash up of halloween and easter. Excellent. Or should I say eggsellent ahahaha.

We're not religious either...well I thought we weren't, but p just announced he was off to easter service. For the first time in all the time I've known him. Confused Confused Hmm

Sometimes I feel that as time goes on the gap between us just gets wider and wider.

Anyway, I'm off to stuff ds with chocolate eggs pooed out of a giant rabbit's bum. Cos I think we all know THAT'S the real spirit of easter.

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/04/2017 11:14

Over to you, Bill. RIP.

ApricotCrush · 16/04/2017 11:57

Morning wenches. Is it still morning? Oh just. Hmm

Well, we're doing sod all, it's just a normal Sunday here. It's more of a time for children, unless you're religious, which we're not, although I do think that like Christmas it has become over commercialised and the real meaning has been lost.

Funny video. Grin

Badders123 · 16/04/2017 12:26

A lot of people only do church at Xmas and Easter....on high days and holidays as they say.
I haven't been this year.
Madame...blimey. A sudden conversion? 😳
Ive been to see mum and visited dad at the cemetery
We are off to pils for dinner
Til then I suppose I ought to do a few jobs...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/04/2017 12:40

I do church at Easter, Christmas, Harvest Festival (cos we're rural innit.) Plus hatch/match/dispatch as my Grandfather used to put it Grin

Today's visiting vicar did a sermon about how Easter Egg hunts are a Good Thing. Which is handy, because we already had one round the garden.

Also Confused re 'Easter Hags' - do tell Wicked - what does and Easter Hag look like/do?

Is Madame's video suitable in the presence of DS?

Badders123 · 16/04/2017 12:44

Our vicar is having a three month sabbatical ATM (no idea why He needs one as he does fuck all when he is here....) so I didn't go.
I did go to the school Easter service now I think of it...
I seem to mostly go to school church services these days.
Dh is in D

Badders123 · 16/04/2017 12:45

Oh ffs internet playing up again...
Dh is in the shed.
Again.
I might just tell him to move in....

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/04/2017 12:45

Er, prob not helen, he's a pretty colourful swearer...

FancyFancy · 16/04/2017 13:05

Easter hags ww? I love the sound of that.

Amusingly, despite having a religious mother, Christmas was one day we never went to church on Grin. Easter, yes we did - because it was a Sunday. Now it's only hatch, match & despatch.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/04/2017 13:08

Back from collecting my new glasses Easter Smile

You're a comic genious Madame Grin
