Five years on from my first treatment, the options have pretty much run out.

Please join us for the rest of the journey. Doom and gloom is absolutely banned. There are still laughs and love to share and celebrate.

Ha Pacific - panic ye not! It's a fiver cheapo t-shirt for the in-laws Gathering Of The Clan lunch this afternoon. We all usually try & find naff jumpers & t-shirts. MIL had a jumper with Rudolph on. His nose was in another strategic place

I bought two poinsettias today and scented Xmas candles. Am quite looking forward to my three nights away up country from tomorrow now. There is a pool and between stressing with dd I'm going to have a rest. Wonders what will be in mini bar? . DH threatening to cone up on Monday night.

I have managed to do fuck all about Christmas or preparing for ZombieLad and ZombieLass's visit.

I'm managing to eat although not very much. Either my tummy hurts or I'm falling asleep from the morphine.

Zombie what do you actually need to prepare and what's the harm if it's not done? They're coming to see you and I suspect they'll fully understand if your hosting isn't up to its usual standard :)

Can any of us help in any way Zombie ? Sorry you are feeling so tired. Have you got to do anything to prepare for your visitors coming over ? Maybe you could get someone in to do whatever you need doing.

They want to see you. Surely there isn't a pile of prep you have to do my lovely. Christmas isn't about cards or buying shit. It's about being with those who matter. Like Zlad and Zlass.

Zombie, when are Zlad and Zlass coming? You don't need to do a thing you know. Just let us know what needs to be done - from picking them up, buying presents, decorating your home, prepping food etc.

We are at your beck and call, willingly and happily.

I'm sure zombielad will understand, let them come in and do what needs to be done, after all it's only another day and a dinner. Who needs Xmas dinner anyway.! Just enjoy being together ❤️❤️

Shopping is an adventure in a foreign country, ZLad and Mrs can shop for you, they arrive in time and you 3 won't need tons.

Maybe get him insured to drive your car if he isn't already.

Sit back and instruct. I would guess they will love doing it all.

Tell them in advance that's what you're going to do and get their additions to your lists.

You don't need that much for a good Christmas, or to make your guests feel you've made the effort.

For my folks, at Christmas, that would mean a bottle of Benedictine and a bottle of sherry. As you're a MNetter, presumably substitute with gin and baileys?

Blimey, this thread moves fast. Here was I, contemplating the perils of gin drinking and the next thing... Sorry to hear that the stomach is still ailing you Zombie, I would suggest gin but...urghhh. My mum swears by ginger beer these days so perhaps try that?

The Zkids will much rather you rest and feel better than that you tire yourself out getting ready for them and not be able to enjoy their visit.

I agree that Zlad and Zlass are coming to see Zombie. The one and only. Everything else is a sideshow. You're the star attraction.

Sod it, they'll actually quite enjoy doing stuff, helping, have practical things to do, taking a burden off you.

Don't even make lists, leave it to them!
