I've tried to tempt some of them to meet ups Roses but they say it's too far.

Some of the ones we've been to had incomers from Brussels and Scotland!

We need to issue bigger spears, or brighter flags?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/12/2016 23:32

Or more gin more likely Grin

LineyReborn · 06/12/2016 23:34

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/12/2016 23:46

You'll have to ask magi, the Phalanx Keeper of the Gin, I'm only good for pink wine

I think she was dishing it out up there ^

y
(you alright Liney?)

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 06/12/2016 23:47

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 06/12/2016 23:48

Royal - I'm glad people did that for you, I would have too if I had known. You always seem such a lovely person so you deserve it Flowers

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/12/2016 23:57

Pleased that people were kind to you Royal, hope you're sorted now.

IndianaJone · 07/12/2016 00:33

Another one delurking to say how brave I feel you are being Zombie. I'm upset that you're at this stage but hope your time now is as painless as possible and you get to spend time enjoying yourself with your loved ones as you intend. xx

Badders Grin at "My dad's called Brian!"

Freezing fog here today, can't see the castle on the hill It is nasty though, bone chilling. Hope Z that it's better in deepest darkest Shropshire and your Aga is keeping you warm again.

FidBoy2 called me shortly after he left this morning to warn his sister, who takes a later train, that the pavements were so icy and slippy, she should be careful. Kind-hearted lad that he is.

Don't know why schools start at 8 here, it's still dark by the time the children get to school. Upside is no school run, thankfully.

I was avoiding paperwork yesterday and made loads of jelly to take to work. Love jelly, might have some for breakfast too. Someone posted once about gin in jelly - can't remember where now. Might do an Advanced Search and avoid the paperwork again Grin

PacificDogwod · 07/12/2016 07:47

It is +14 degrees here today - after it having been -3 yesterday Hmm
I envy you proper seasons, Fiderer.

Bit early for me for gin, with or without jelly.

Yes, 8am school start, but home after 1 - I remember that.
I used to get up at half 6, leave the house at 7.10am, tram at 7.29, at school for 7.44. I don't know how I did that, had a shower and breakfast too Confused

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/12/2016 07:55

Wow! School at 8. We would be fucked. We're only just up. A whole hour late. Hmm So now it's time to rush round, get the toddlers dressed (DS1 is sorted already) get DS1 to finish his homework, get myself dressed, breakfast will have to be a piece of fruit on the way down the street.

LineyReborn · 07/12/2016 08:11

I must buy some actual gin today.

MsHooliesCardigan · 07/12/2016 08:22

Pacific I look back at certain times in my life and wonder how the hell I did it. At one point, my routine was: Leave the house at 7.45am with 3 DCs including baby in buggy, 20 minute walk to school, drop older 2 DCs at breakfast club, 15 minute walk to station, get buggy up 32 steps, 10 minute train journey, get buggy up 36 steps, 10 minute walk to nursery, drop off DS2 and then 10 minute walk to work. And then do it all in reverse at the end of the day. At the time, I just got on with it. I couldn't contemplate doing it now.
I am planning on becoming a gin connoisseur when I retire.

PurpleDaisies · 07/12/2016 08:24

I need an everyday bottle of gin too liney. Somehow I managed to forget it in Sainsbury's yesterday.

I've got a bottle of Garden Tiger in the cupboard at the moment which is really delicious but a bit pricey for regular consumption.

MrsWembley · 07/12/2016 09:27

I plan to have a gin advent calendar next year.

Or a whisky one.

Too many expenses this year. Ah well...

And I'm sure my grandparents used to say 'There's nowt so queer as folk.' They were right.Grin

MrsWembley · 07/12/2016 09:29

Ooh, and for the gin connoisseurs, I recommend Salcombe Gin!

Allalonenow · 07/12/2016 10:20

I like Tanqueray Rangpur as an every day gin.

Sending you some good vibes Zombie ~~~~~~~~~~~

magimedi · 07/12/2016 11:38

The posh Lidl gin - Hortus - is delicious, 40% & only £15.99.
