Now we know why Julian Assange's cat was seen wearing a collar and tie, ~ obviously he was trying on his outfit for ZombieLad's wedding, he's probably an usher! Xmas Grin

Oooo I love, love love bats! My favourite place is the bat (cave) enclosure at Chester Zoo. I could spend hours in there as they do close fly-bys, swooping past me. Yes, I know I'm weird.

Zombie - cat tuxes sound fab. Though I'd need a doctor if I tried with our two. I bet you can't wait for Mr & Mrs ZLad's visit now. Hope all goes well hozzie-wise in the meantime.

Lin - this time next week I'll be posting Advent window pics. We've had to have a chnage of plan as some dimwit participant didn't read the 'who is doing what' list and put presents in her window. So now we're going with a fireplace / mantelpiece with the Santa scarecrow outside looking like he's coming to deliver the gifts.

In the meantime, here's this week's Strictly round-up. Not many left now!!

Strictly Week Eleven - Musicals Heaven!!

I like bats too, they are awesome but not entangled in my hair

iklboo · 04/12/2016 21:42

See, they don't do tangling in hair really. They navigate by sonar so we'd stand out to them like Nelson's column. The hair thing is a Hollywood slur concept.

I keep looking at Chester Zoo to see if they offer bat-keeper days alongside the usual ones (hint, hint DH).

PacificDogwod · 04/12/2016 21:53

Sonar, schmonar - don't be all rational and sensible with me, ikbloo! Grin

I spent some time in Kampala, Uganda, and during the day the trees were full of enormous bats all hung there upside-down , waiting to fling themselves in to my hair, I tell'ya!!

Pacific. ZLad lives in the USA, our Z lives in the Midlands, UK.

Are tutus the proscribed wedding outfit winter 2016?

Sounds a bit chilly Grin

PacificDogwod · 04/12/2016 22:10

Ah, thanks, BBB, yes that IS quite far away.

I love a nice tutu skirt - there are some wonderful ones about.
Shame that they make my arse look like a planet with its own gravitational pull otherwise I'd join in.

I love the idea of clashing beautifully Grin

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/12/2016 22:11

My hands feel weird. I've been making snow for the kids in nursery tomorrow. (Corn flour, glitter and veg oil) so now my hands are.covered in crap!

I want a cat tuxedo! George would look lovely in one

Nothing, nothing, nothing is getting me in a tutu.

I could wear one on my head.

PacificDogwod · 04/12/2016 22:14

Exit, love, a tutu on your head is also known as a veil.
It is bad form to try and upstage the bride on the Best Day Of Her Life, tsk, tsk.

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 04/12/2016 22:18

A tutu will make me look like Saturn and it's rings, but I shall sacrifice myself for the ZombieWedding.

In fact, I think I shall devise a fascinator in the shape of the international space station, to truly set off the whole look.

Susie - would you like me to do you a fascinator in the style of Tim Peake, just to further our tasteful and subtle theme? I could have a go at ballet, but suspect I shall look more like a line dancing planet. Still, adds a bit of variety Grin

PacificDogwod · 04/12/2016 22:20

Fatty, you cat would indeed look very dignified in a tuxedo - he could be an usher?

'Fascinator in the style of Tim Peake' - wtf? GrinGrinGrin

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 04/12/2016 22:23

Aw Pacific - maybe I'm being daft. After all, Tim isn't even on the space station anymore Grin

PacificDogwod · 04/12/2016 22:25

Nono, I thought it was a marvellous idea: simple, tasteful and yet totally out of left field! Genius Grin

Tim Peake seems like such a nice bloke too - I am sure he would appreciate the gesture.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/12/2016 22:27

Actually my hat is a bit like a tutu!

What about tutus round necks?

Too clowny?

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/12/2016 22:32

pacific he would make a good usher...Until he spotted someone wearing a gloves then he'd go and attack the gloves.

Tutu around the neck is definitely a bit too clown like.

iklboo · 04/12/2016 22:47

You'd look ruff with a tutu round your neck Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/12/2016 23:01
Grin

It's making me feel itchy!

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 04/12/2016 23:16

Royal - I thought you meant that Tim Peake would attack gloves if he was an usher Shock

Then saw the picture of your very dapper cat! (He looks like he should be wearing a monocle, maybe Amazon have them for cats.....) Grin

I'm starting to think that my morphine is making me a tad........eccentric! Excellent! Grin

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/12/2016 23:18

magic maybe Tim peake would attack gloves too. Grin

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 04/12/2016 23:31

Royal - I actually lolled at that Grin. Maybe only floating, weightless ones?

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/12/2016 23:35

Space gloves Grin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/12/2016 01:58

Very Dutch Ruffle a la 16th century Rembrandt. Make sure you wear pearl earrings too!

That is one good looking cat. I think we are getting a cat. After Christmas. There is far too much evidence of our little furry friends at the new house and there must be bats around too - it backs right onto a small wood. Just need to convince DH!

Fiderer · 05/12/2016 08:40

Look how festive the ruff can be. How lovely Baldrick's flowers are.
