Allalonenow · 01/12/2016 07:26

Excellent that the innards are behaving themselves and you got a good rest, just what you need Zombie.

I've always lusted after an AGA Smile

I'm up bright and early waiting for a delivery from Apple, so I'll be playing with my new toy soon! Grin

Brew and stollen all round.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 01/12/2016 07:28

Hi Zombie.

Glad your insides are behaving.

Hope your AGA gets sorted. would love an AGA

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 01/12/2016 09:39

Morning Zombie - so glad your tummy feels better. I bet it'll be wonderful with the Aga up and running again. Your kitchen will be toasty. I find cooking really hard now, and I've just had my first delivery from Cooknet. Very excited. Have you tried them, to save you cooking?

Lin - I'm thinking perhaps purple or blue. If I wear pink, I resemble an blancmange!

IamtheZombie · 01/12/2016 10:31

Crikey. I need a personal assistant to keep track of all the things my various Consultants want.

I've just been rung by one of my Oncologist's registrars. They've reviewed the results of the CT scan I had early last month. Because of the location of some of the liver mets my Oncologist wants me to have an ultrasound to check whether any bile ducts are blocked. If they are, they will speak with the liver team at the QE in Birmingham about inserting stents.

They also want urgent blood tests. I explained that I am attending the Royal Marsden tomorrow and I'm sure they will be doing a lot of blood tests then. I said I would explain to the Trials team what my oncologist wants and will ask them to e-mail my Oncologist with all the blood results ASAP. The registrar said he would go ahead and request the ultrasound which will probably be early next week.

I can only say that I'm amazed and humbled at how hard so many people are working to keep me going and keep me comfortable for as long as possible.

Oh it's so good to hear you're being so well looked after.

Yes it can all be a bit unjoined up, though, and I hope that doesn't make it all too laborious for you.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 01/12/2016 10:49

Good to hear you are being looked after so well Zombie Flowers

iklboo · 01/12/2016 12:03

Good to hear you've got a top notch team taking care of you Z and that things are (ahem) moving.

My new GP has arranged an audiology referral for my wibbly wobblies. This afternoon. Either cracking GP, cracking new health authority or a bit of both!

AcrossthePond55 · 01/12/2016 12:39

I'm so happy that you've been accepted for a medical trial!

Do take the train. No 'Zombie Walks' to the hospital!!!

TheoriginalLEM · 01/12/2016 17:20

PacificDogwod · 01/12/2016 18:03

And btw you have mail Smile

It's warm here again.
Engineer spent hours replacing boiler fan, then realising that was NOT the problem, draining the whole system, replacing drippy valve that had been leaking in to the switch which made the fuse blow (repeatedly) and then checking everything.
I was safely ensconced at work the entire time Grin

We have a gingerbread house.
I think it's our best one yet.
We have on every year and last year the run up to Christmas was Not Right because there was no house. So this year, I am vair content.

IME Zombie has the right attitude towards the fucker cancer: life is for living, with or without the darn thing. TeamZombie sounds well clued up Thanks

Susiesoap7 · 01/12/2016 18:20

Good luck tomorrow zombie, and take care on your journey. Everything crossed for the best possible news xx 🌺🌺 sending you a snack to help you on your way 🍔🍔

AuntieStella · 01/12/2016 18:25

Another de-lurker here (I think I've said 'hello' on earlier threads too).

I'm going on a tour of a gin distillery soon (DH and I having a pre-Christmas treat).

I was thinking about buying elderberry liqueur to pimp supermarket gin. Anyone tried that?

HerRoyalFattyness · 01/12/2016 18:50

Hope that aga is doing great it's job!

My news....

I had the assessor out to nursery today.
She's happy with how I'm dealing with activities and discipline. I'm awesome!

For those that don't know I'm doing my childcare level 3 at college, and I volunteer in a nursery 2 days a week. I have 3 of my own DC (8, very nearly 3, and a 16 month old) and DP is an arse struggling with depression. We don't live together.
So lots going on!

Still always make time for MN and our lovely zombie though. Xmas Wink

MrsMozart · 01/12/2016 18:54

Will be thinking of you m'duck.

iklboo · 01/12/2016 19:01

Oooh Auntie - which one are you going to?

AuntieStella · 01/12/2016 19:43

Aagh, not sure iklboo - DH booked it and I can't remember! London somewhere. Possibly Beefeater.

Gin We need Gin

originalmavis · 01/12/2016 19:53

🐞🌹🗻🌏🌋🗾📢😍🐒🍌🚾🇦🇽 Hee hee hee.

PurpleDaisies · 01/12/2016 19:59

I can't understand why there isn't a gin emoji. Surely mumsnet is effectively sponsored by the stuff.

I introduce my SIL to Hendricks gin and tonic with cucumber. She thought I was cutting it up for the guinea pigs but I think she was converted.

originalmavis · 01/12/2016 20:04

⛲ gin fountain?🍸martini? 🛁 How id like my gin served? ⛽ The ultimate gin dispenser?

Fiderer · 01/12/2016 20:05

Re a personal assistant to keep track - am sure one of us can be relied on to not be squiffy on a daily basis and to chart appointments. We could have a rota

All the best for tomorrow. Hope you get to pick up a terrific hat for the nuptials while you're there.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 01/12/2016 20:05

She thought I was cutting it up for the guinea pigs but I think she was converted.

PurpleDaisies · 01/12/2016 20:08

To be fair, the guinea pigs were squeaking like mad and did end up with some cucumber. Grin

originalmavis I love the idea of the ultimate gin dispenser.
