Addicts I need your advice - about to become SAHM and decided that our Maclaren stroller is ok for nanny but not for me.

Have sold our Kiwi Explorer because you can't fit a buggy board on it. Now need a new three wheeler that can fit a kiddy / buggy board on it.

Saw an XTS Twister with kiddy board at the weekend and it looks like the child on kiddy board is underneath the handles so that it is easy to push.

Is this right ? Any more recommendations for kiddy board friendly three wheelers.

Thanks

Karen

PS: I've had 3 - Mamas & Papa travel system ( very dull ), Maclaren Pliko and Kiwi Explorer ( now sold ). Help me make it 4

Go to PracticalPushchairs.com Kaz33. I'm pretty sure I saw that you could put a board on the back of the InStep Nipper. They are very light too.

nutty....did you get your 3 wheeler????

jennifersofia · 30/06/2004 01:44

Oooh I feel right at home. Dp calls me a pram anorak! For any non-addicts out there, it is not bonkers! If you have no car, go out twice a day, push 60 pounds+ in weight of kids, and do all the shopping with your pram, it is a big part of your life and having a rubbish one can be such a hassle! There is always the feeling that there must be one out there that will perfectly fit all of your needs!
Kaz33 - buggy board definitely does not fit on E3? I have been trying to find this out. Even with new V2 version of E3? Even with adjustable attachments (flexible straps) that fit on the bars of the pram? I have been lusting after the E3 for a little while now......

Pagan · 30/06/2004 16:11

Wow!!!! I must be the only woman in the world who hates shopping and can't stand spending unnecessarily on baby junk. Am I normal??

I inherited a M&P 2in1 which was crap and didn't fit in the boot of the car.

I resported to a Britax rockatot baby carrier with chassis unti DD was 8 months old then got a Maclaren volo buggy from tesco for £40 + accessory pack for £30.

The buggy is the best. Easy to put up and down, lightweight to carry and easy to maneouver.

Is the Bugaboo Frog the one that Gwyneth Paltrow has for Apple ?

Juliehafrancis · 01/07/2004 00:46

I think so!

misdee · 01/07/2004 00:50

i'm gonna have to buy a new pram/buggy in around march next year. as the two i have here dont lie completely flat and are no good for newborns

nutcracker · 01/07/2004 20:02

If that means what i think it means then , Misdee.

busybee123 · 03/07/2004 11:47

did you get your 3 wheeler nutty?

Bagpuss30 · 05/07/2004 21:37

Flip, if you see this...

Have just had an e-mail from Kiddicare because I placed an order with them yesterday (no, not a buggy) and they say that because I am a new customer then I can purchase a new Graco Citisport from them for £40! Seems like a good deal to me and I thought of this thread immediately , that is if you are still after one.

I've refreshed this thread as I had to make myself feel better about buying another buggy for DS even though he is only 8 weeks old!

Now a proud owner of a Graco 3 wheeler travel system (is far too big on the bus and the fixed front wheel means little old ladies don't stand a chance!) and a Cosatto buggy that is suitable for newborns as it lets DS lie flat - and I'm in love as I can now turn on a stamp - I feel like I've been liberated!

I will be selling the travel system once DS is finished with the car seat so I can justify the expense! perhaps we should have a selling thread?

misdee · 17/07/2004 18:06

i am considering selling my hauck 3 wheeler which i won, as it doesnt lie flat and i need one suitable for a newborn. and dd2 prefers the maclaren, and so do i as feeling exhausted and cant be dealing with a big pram atm.

nikcola · 17/07/2004 18:14

im selling my hadly used techno for £75 its too heavy to carry up the stairs in the flat

Fennel · 17/07/2004 21:54

what's the hauck 3 wheeler like? I want a new three wheeler, I had a babyjogger and loved it but worn it out. now trying to decide between Jane powertrack, another babyjogger, or a nipper.

misdee · 17/07/2004 22:00

its ok. the one i have is swivel wheel, with cosytoes and raincover (both havent been used). dd2 is ok in it as it reclines enough for her to sleep in it, but its not suitable for the newborn which wont make an appearance till march, but am thinking ahead.

Blu · 18/07/2004 15:07

Where is SilverXXX - didn't she have about 20 or 30 and keep buying new models when they came out?

Can someone explain why you keep buying different models? I bought one when Ds was a baby and I'm just getting the last few months of wear out of it before we abandon the need. Oh, and a 2nd hand double buggy for the nanny-share.

CountessDracula · 18/07/2004 15:10

OMG I can't believe this. I would do ANYTHING to avoid more buggies/pushchairs. I have two and that is one too many, but we have to have 3 wheeler for dog walking and I can't bear pushing one of those round the shops.

YOU ARE ALL BONKERS !!!!

Ixel · 18/07/2004 15:38

Can I just add that I'm selling my graco travel system, hardly used, if anyone wants it. Had an offer I couldn't turn down for an urban detour!! That is absolutely the last buggy I will buy, unless we get as far as needing a double . Am now very happy, with a detour fore long days out, and a maclaren triumph for sightseeing and short outings, plus my trusty hipseat. Please someone buy my graco, as dh is going mad about 5 buggies in our flat!!
