Sponge, the bugaboo is the one Gwyneth has and apparently it's soared in popularity as a result.

busybee123 · 21/06/2004 13:30

ha ha gingerbear!! smellymelly i have a lovely citisport twin pushchair. its lovely but sadly...i can no longer use it!! i bought it when 2nd was a bit too big really and then he started walking!! its in my list of ones to sell!!! i also have a tandem one.

busybee123 · 21/06/2004 13:32

smellymelly, mt friend has an urban detour for her twins and has had nothing but trouble with it....so far it has been replaced 4 times!!! it is very heavy as well

Flip · 21/06/2004 13:37

I'm after a new graco (whisper) citisport because it's the only one that will fit in the boot of the car with all seven seats up. All you buggy addicts keep an eye out on ebay for me.

PMSL when someone mentioned having a fleet of buggies.

busybee123 · 21/06/2004 13:40

bugger flip...just sold mine for £25 with raincover!! was in mint condition as well!! sorry! in fact the girl who bought it got told off by her DH for buying another new pushchair!! she couldn't convince him it was 2nd hand!!

Flip · 21/06/2004 14:11

I'm depressed now. Mine's knackered and I need another.

busybee123 · 21/06/2004 14:15

ah bless you flip....

stripey · 21/06/2004 14:44

I've had a few mainly M&P and Graco. I have to say I think the Graco Citisport is fantastic but I am on my 3rd as the first 2 broke (very lightweight). I bought a new Pliko once but took it back as I couldn't bare pushing it after the Citisport. I wouldn't recommend a second hand citisport though as they really can get trashed if you hang heavy bags on them or anything.

Last year got a Pliko from the Charity shop for £12 and it was easier to push than the new one I had bought new - only got it to use with a buggy board. I used to think I was obsessed but not compared to some of you!

midden · 21/06/2004 16:53

smellymelly what do you need your double for most? If you do lots of walking in the country and want it lightweight; go for instep nipper. If you need to get around town/in and out of shops; urban detour. Urban detours are really good value for money but if you have a big budget I would go for mountain buggy double or easy life sport double.

misdee · 21/06/2004 18:12

sorry flip, i passed mine onto MIL as the one she had was knackered beyound belief.

nutcracker · 25/06/2004 21:53

I am watching a Mamas and Papas 3 wheeler on ebay

Dp will kill me

CP3 · 25/06/2004 22:17

maisystar · 25/06/2004 22:24

the two i won off ebay are arriving tomorrow

are you bidding on the 3 wheeler or just watching it, nutty?

OP posts:
CP3 · 25/06/2004 22:30

Can you get Three seater Buggys?

nutcracker · 25/06/2004 22:39

Maisystar - I don't want to bid until the very last moment as i'll push the price up otherwise.

CP3 - Surely they do them for triplets

nutcracker · 25/06/2004 22:40

Only thing is, the auction doesn't finnish until next sunday and i may not be online then anyway

Also watching a Graco 3 wheeler

maisystar · 26/06/2004 01:26

Juliehafrancis · 26/06/2004 01:45

Oh my god...If I had the money (we are so broke) I would buy at least three pushchairs! So far we have had a mama's and papa's travel system which my dad brought us as a pressie and now have the maclaren techno xt which I love.
Does anybody have a top three or am I the only sad one?!!!

My top three are:

  1. Maclaren Techno XT
  2. Bugaboo frog (I know it looks weird..but that's half the reason why I want it!) Bugaboofrog
  3. E3 Explorer buggy (if I have another child in the next two years! E3Explorerbuggy

My bloke can't understand my obsession with having everything possible for your baby! My family and friends know me as the gadget queen as far as baby stuff is concerned!
Is there a help group around?!! lol

xoz · 26/06/2004 01:49

Hooray! I now have only 3 pushchairs... (i got rid of my double on Friday)
Maybe now I can class myself as recovering....

busybee123 · 26/06/2004 10:54

CP3 they do buggies for quads as well as triplets...found a link (if I can get it to work!!)...they look HUGE!!!! lotsofbabies.com

busybee123 · 26/06/2004 11:06

triple mountain buggy

Ixel · 26/06/2004 11:12

Ha! Have just bought another stroller off ebay, on dh's credit card...

Bagpuss30 · 26/06/2004 11:59

I thought I was bad but now I feel so inadequate! I have had a total of six so far.

Graco Travel System
Mothercare Urban Detour
Cosatto Tandem
Maclaren Quest
Maclaren Techno XT
Phil and Ted's E3 Explorer

In my defense they have all been much needed purchases at the time but I have to say that I do only have two kids, oh and I have sold the first three!

Nutcracker, get a three wheeler, but not M&P as they are really heavy apparently. You have all made me want to look at ebay now, you bad, bad people .
