Yup, I'm just like Zing's pic but I am actually brunette, so I don't who, or whose, the blonde is Grin

Just got home but will be over there again tomorrow as DD2 coming for flying visit.

Thanks Allalone, fab tip, will test it soon.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/08/2016 16:04

Allalone that is a brilliant idea.

wonders if you can get Ella's in Canada

iklboo · 15/08/2016 16:27

Fid - no murders or nefarious business this time. The only thing killing was my bloody feet wearing heels with me posh frocks every night.

There was a moment today where a fuckwit pillock fellow traveller had taken one of our bags instead of theirs. It did look a bit similar - but ours had a different colour travel tag, different cabin number, different name, our 'distinguishing' ribbons, a bright pink lock AND was in a totally different place than theirs would have been.

Luckily, we got the all that they'd returned it just as we were about to leave the terminus so DH ran back to get it.

Good job for them - if they'd have got ally be way home before spotting their stupidity error they'd have been billed for the cost of couriering it back to us.

Fiderer · 15/08/2016 16:38

Am disappointed, no skullguggery. But like the idea of posh frocks.

My lawyer appt was changed till tomorrow so I've treated myself to a bottle of gin as I wait. And vermouth so shall have a martini to recover afterwards.

iklboo · 15/08/2016 18:10

I'm going to miss my pre-dinner martini tonight. I must get some vermouth & a wee cocktail shaker to try to recapture the experience.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/08/2016 22:10

We need a pic of a posh frock ikl, well I do Grin

Or fuck-me shoes if you like.

Or both?

I couldn't quite follow the bag/ribbons/bright pink lock thing, but hope you ended up with all you stuff.

Don't they have minions for all that on cruises?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/08/2016 22:16

Cocktail shaker is on crucial list of essential household kit.

FWP permitting obvs.

Fiderer · 16/08/2016 07:55

Skullguggery? Eh, what's that? Skulduggery I meant.

Anyway, yes, spill all about the cruise and posh frocks.

Susiesoap7 · 16/08/2016 09:31

Don't think I could do cruises cos I can't swim and would be afraid of sinking! Lol 😜

iklboo · 16/08/2016 11:31

Sadly the minions cease when they chuck you off the ship. Your bags are in a big warehouse thingy for collection.

HerRoyalFattyness · 16/08/2016 12:46

susie I can't swim either.

Mummylin · 16/08/2016 12:49

And I would be so sea -sick !! I am never ever going on another boat of any sort ! BBB hope your dd and the baby are both doing well. I had the baby round yesterday for a couple of hours it was lovely. Zombie hope things are going well for you at the moment.

Allalonenow · 16/08/2016 16:01

Zombie hope your visit went well, and your kindly friends helped you out with the "To Do" list.

B3 is right about the cocktail shaker being a kitchen essential, though I prefer my martinis stirred not shaken! Martini glasses were the first thing I bought when I got divorced way back in the mists of time. Grin

I learnt to swim when I was about 30, and loved it, such a fantastic feeling gliding through the water. I swam a width on my first night, no floats or anything, and went on to swim a mile, life save etc by the end of the course, and then learnt to dive.

It really is an amazing sensation, so I'd encourage anyone of any age to go to a class and learn in safety.
HRF have you got small children? Swimming is a great thing to do with kids, and as my DS grew up, I found it was something sporty a Mum could do with a teenage lad.

ExitPursuedByABear · 16/08/2016 16:06

Hi all. Not been on one of your threads for a while Zombie as I can't keep up!

Anyway, I can join with honours now as I have breast cancer.

Yeah, go me.

Fiderer · 16/08/2016 18:00

Blimey Bear that's shit.

HerRoyalFattyness · 16/08/2016 18:47

bear Flowers That's crap Sad

all I do have small children. I also have suspected autism/aspergers. Learning to swim would be massive for me. Getting into the pool is difficult enough!

Susiesoap7 · 16/08/2016 18:49

We could go in a caravan hrf! We can still wear posh frocks and drink martinis! That's rotten news bear, stick around here for group love and hugs , I will add you to my healing prayers 🌸🌸🌸

Mummylin · 16/08/2016 19:38

Sorry to see this bear have you started your treatment yet ? I hope it will all go well.
Well I was taken out today by my gd ! She took me to a place where they do all sorts of filled crepes and a huge variety of ice cream flavours. It was really nice , but very filling. Now I can't eat any dinner so will just have a snack a bit later.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

IamtheZombie · 16/08/2016 21:56

(((((((((( Exit ))))))))))

Speak to me my sweet. Message me here or on FB. Or just let it all hang out (so to speak) here in the safety of the Phalanx. xxxxx

Bless you all. I'm fine. Area of concern detected in routine
mammogram. Out. Radiotherapy. Tablets. Back fat. Weary.

magimedi · 16/08/2016 22:46

Flowers *Exit. I hope it all goes OK

And I was really hoping you would be changing your name to BrexitPursuedBy ABear !!!!!!!!

I would be very happy to teach any of the Phalanx to swim - I've taught so many people to do so over the years.

It's a real offer, if you are anywhere near East Sussex I'd be more than happy to help.

No gin will be involved with swimming lessons!!

But when you can swim a length there might just be a ration doled out in celebration.

ExitPursuedByABear · 16/08/2016 22:48

I've been Brexit all over the place.

But with my arsey hat on Grin

IamtheZombie · 16/08/2016 22:53

My offer stands, Exit.

OP posts:
magimedi · 16/08/2016 22:54

So pleased you have been Brexit - but so hope you didn't vote for it! Grin

ExitPursuedByABear · 16/08/2016 23:06

Soz.
