We have moved out to PILs for 3.5 months as house looks like this (house extension).
All good, kids are growing and naughty, ZingLad is now 15, MiniZing is 2, Zinglette starts reception in Sept and I'm up to my eyebrows in crochet projects.
No holiday this year coz of building work, we have to be here for decisions but DH is home for a week (coz it's my birthday soon) so we'll do daytrips to a zoo, farm park, bowling, London, beach....will be lovely.
Just ordered kitchen today (yay!) and have tons to discuss & buy, which is fun, and if it goes well we are moving back in Oct. Everything should be finished by end of Nov, fx.

Zing that looks like our place when we renovated in 2011. We stayed with parents too! Enjoy picking all the finishing touches, that is a fun part. I cannot believe your baby is 2. Wow. My big news (which I have blabbed everywhere so not surprised if you know already) is that we have moved back to Canada. Weird that it is in the past tense now, after planning for so long. We are staying with my mum until we can sell our place in London (had a deal all lined up and then the buyers backed out the morning of the Brexit result, the fuckers) and buy our place in Toronto. FX it is hopefully SOON.

Any baby news BBB?

Just popping in to see if any news about BBB,s grandchild yet. It's very exciting when your dd has a baby, but also worrying at the time as you know what is happening. I was actually with my dd when she had her first baby, it was truly magical and I was remarkably calm.

Any news B3 ?

We are in Quebec City right now showing the DDs a little Canadian heritage. So instead of "good luck" and "best wishes" I shall say BONNE CHANCE and FELICITATIONS!!

Well, I am indeed an Grand-mama!

He was born at 7pm last night, 8lbs 12 and is, of course, gorgeous.

We were at theirs from late Friday night and they came home this morning at 10.30, lots of visitors, 10 for supper tonight, so all been a bit of a whirlwind.

All quiet now, I'm the only one up getting a bit of peace and finally, a huge
glass of rose!

For those who have asked about ZL and ZLF: I've chatted with ZLF on Skype but this will be our first RL meeting. As to putting a bow on ZL's head and sticking him under the Christmas tree, I think not. 1) at 6'4" it would need to be one hell of a tree and 2) people wearing bows to show they are a present takes Zombie's mind places where her child definitely does NOT belong.

I have friends arriving for a visit tomorrow morning. With their 3 dogs (border collie x 2 and flat coat retriever). ZombieCatM and ZombieCatT will be less than impressed. I have a little list of jobs for the male friend: smoke alarm batteries and a few light bulbs to replace (all involving climbing ladders to reach and I'm no longer safe on a ladder); getting my new hosepipe set up (I have tried but the snap together bits aren't snapping together properly so everytime the water is turned on it goes everywhere EXCEPT through the hose; and finally re-doing my washing line (ex-gardener couldn't even do that properly). While all that is happening I'll be chatting with his wife and cuddling his teddy bear (NOT a euphemism). I'm not sure if they're spending the night but I've chucked clean linen and towels onto the guest bed just in case.

Wonderful BBB We had a nostalgia fest with photos on FidGirl's birthday last week. Till she was 2 they were real printed photos that had to be developed. All after are digital and on the hard drive which isn't half as much fun.

Anyway, many great pics of the newborns and babies, was a bit teary tbh.

Just waiting to disembark the ship is for the long drive home (booooooo). Have already booked again for next year though (yayyyyyy).
