Does anyone else think Mumsnet is a bit clichey?

New to Mumsnet...been on it a few times, hardly anyone ever answers posts - and it seems like the same people 'chat' to each other, and it's really hard to get involved....

Have just reread this coz I was confused. You can tell who the real Cod is coz she the one who makes the typing mistakes

prufrock · 28/05/2004 15:05

I don't like coddy changing her bloody name all the time - I tried to find an old post of hers a few days ago and couldn't because I had no idea which of her many personalities she'd posted under!
But why is Mumsnet cliquey? It's not like anybody has ever said to another poster "go away you're not welcome here" (well with two valid exceptions) so what's the problem. If you think the that anyone would be offended by your post, "key-player" or not, then why on earth would you post it?
There is a diference between Mumsnet as it used to be, where threads were usually general discussions, and the chat section, which can often be more like intimate conversations - but surely there is room for both, and people are entitled to have closer Mumsnet relationships with posters whom they get on better with?

oliveoil · 28/05/2004 15:10

Am so annoyed I was off when this was going on, this cod imposter scenario has really made me pee, 'keyplayer' heh heh heh heh heh. I thought it was cod arguing with herself for a mo

I have been using this site for about a year and I always used to kill off threads, or so I thought, but usually they were coming to an end anyway, I just got my timing wrong.
