my dads car was found wrapped round a tree but nobody can find him

the police have just been to my mums to say they have found my dads car wrapped round a tree and there is no sign of him. really dont know what to do. my mum is ill with worry and we do know there was a lot of blood in the car

my mum wont phone cos she would rather not know. if that makes sense. mum spoke to him at 7 last night and that was the last we heard from him

i do know they are getting dogs and a helicoptor so i would assume that they have checked hospitals etc before they did that

Where was he before the accident? Might he have tried to make his way back there?

Like someone else said, could his car have been stolen and he is somewhere, unawares of whats going on? That might explain why the driver wasn't in the car if it was a joyrider?

Either way I hope it all turns out OK. You must be so worried waiting

i really dont think it was stolen the police never mentiond anything about that. i really dont have a clue but my wee sis is away down and illl pop in later. last thing my mum prob needs is all of us there asking questions.

Hope he turns up OK. How worrying for you all.

My BIL's car was found in a similar state a couple of years ago and he was OK. He had crashed into a tree and although cut a lot in the face got out of car and walked away. A local barman found him and recognised him and took him to hospital. He told the police he had been beaten up. They never connected him to the car - luckily for him as he was driving while pissed.
