7swansaswimmingup · 17/12/2006 12:45

starshaker, so sorry for you and your family.do hope you have good news for us later and that your dad is safe

jampots · 17/12/2006 12:48

ss - how come he was away from home from 7pm until now? Do your parents live together? If not, it is possible someone else was driving his car and he is off xmas shopping completely oblivious.

I personally would call all hospitals within the area/region (some may be full and he may have been sent to one out of area) although I do think if it was bad enough then 999 would have been called which would involve the police at the scene.

please do let us know as soon as you can
xx

OMG I hope you find him starshaker. You must all be so worried!!

RickmanAroundTheXmasTree · 17/12/2006 13:51

Is there any chance that he could have been drinking and driving? It might be that he crashed and then sloped off somewhere to sober up as he knew he'd be in grief.

Hope you get some news soon.

Any news yet? How awful to be such horrrible suspense.

starshaker · 17/12/2006 18:48

well they found him. been at hosp most of the day so not been able to post. he walked 10 miles to get to the town. he went to the local hospital and they sent him up to ayr in an ambuance. the really bad thing is the police have taken blood cos they think he was drinking and he stank of alcohol.

how selfish can he get. he never bothered to call my mum he was more than likely drink driving which will mean he loses his licence his job might go to jail and my mum will end up losing the house

OP posts:
FestiveFrex · 17/12/2006 18:51

Your mum might not lose the house. She needs to check out what benefits she might be able to claim.

Stinking of alcohol might not be what it seems. If he had a bottle of booze in the car when he crashed, then he might well be covered in the stuff but be over the limit. Looking on the bright side here.

Glad that you have some sort of conclusion to what must have been a very stressful time. Hope things are not as black as they are painted.

moondog · 17/12/2006 18:52
