Lin - I had a great evening, thanks. I don't know what I was worried about. Mate's girlfriend is totally lovely and we got on famously. Plus she's a huge fan of Strictly! She asked if we could watch it when we got back to ours after the meal.

Little update from the little lady her goshdarn self

Doctor say as far as he is concerned I could go home today. Physiochologist would prefer tomorrow at the earliest. So it looks like. Tomorrow it is. ??????

And I have posted my card today !!! Will she still get it I wonder. What fab news that is. It's like a miracle !!! Thanks Ikl

Zombie is HOME!!!

I can hardly believe it. One minute there's a doctor poking around in your abdomen taking bits out and the next they're sending you home.

I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight with no noise other than wind, rain and owls.

I have to go see the practic nurse at the GP Surgery tomorrow so she can inspect my wounds. At the moment they're dry and look fine. No dressings required. I DO have dressings on my R jugular vein and an artery in my left wrist that need to stay on for a couple of more days lest I disturb something and start to bleed out. There's also a dressing where the cannula was and one where they took blood this morning.

I feel well. Abdomen is sore but discomfort is magageable. I'm also very tired. Hospitals are not the place for sleep. I may feel a nap coming on.

Is it bedtime yet? I've done very little today - visited the Practice Nurse so she could assess my wounds and picked up a few groceries. Otherwise absolutely nothing.

I'm ready for a good 10 hours sleep.
