I know that can work for drenched phones but a laptop has bigger gaps that may get infiltrated.

Honestly, I don't think there is much you can do for your laptop tomorrow but let it dry out a bit.

Come to London & you won't be tempted to keep trying it, which I have heard is the worst thing you can do. Leave it off & leave it to dry & sort it out on Monday.

Morning phalanx. This was on FB this morning:

Hi all,
ES and I saw Zombie at the Critical Care unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham this evening and she is doing very well after her operation.
She went into the operation at 9am and was out at 12/12.30pm so it was a quicker operation than predicted as the surgeon was able to remove the tumours in her liver via key hole surgery instead.
She should be well enough to move into a normal ward tomorrow/Sunday if they have a bed for her.
She was looking very bright, had an amazing appetite and was cracking jokes as usual. The staff in the hospital were extremely lovely and attentive so she is in very good hands.
She will hopefully be able to get internet access on her new smartphone in the next few days to post on FB herself...that's if her dodgy new phone allows her ;-) X is seeing Zombie again this weekend and I will go back again Monday so we will keep you posted x

oops, its the afternoon already

Wow, what a fabulous update. So happy that it's all done and dusted now. Hopefully by the fact they managed to do keyhole surgery will mean a quicker recovery time. Great news, thanks Ikl.

I'm out tonight for a meal with a friend of DH's & his girlfriend so I'll post any updates when I get chance. We've never met his girlfriend before so I'm ridiculously nervous. Plus she's 20 years younger than me!!!

(DH 8 years younger than me, friend is former driving pupil - 10 years younger than DH, girlfriend 2 years younger than him)

You are not allowed out Ikl you have to watch strictly !!!

It's ok Lin it's according (what DS used to say for 'recording' when he was ikl 'mall). We're coming back to ours to watch it after food

No updates on FB yesterday, but I think the updaters weren't visiting again until today. Hope y'all had a good time last night. I'll post anything as soon as it appears.

UPDATE:

(person) just visited Zombie in the hospital and I'm pleased to report she is now out of the critical care unit and in the ward. She is not in pain but is feeling some discomfort and is very tired. However she is doing well and doctors are hopeful that she will be home by the end of the week. She is at least well enough to try to persuade me to take her out for some "fresh air"! (Person) will be visiting again tomorrow afternoon and (another person)should be visiting in the evening so she will most likely send another update tomorrow.

All sounds tickety boo!
