There's still plenty of room for posts on the current thread but I'm starting this one now as I may be offline for some time.

I've asked iklboo to keep an eye on my FB timeline and to copy / paste the updates here so they should appear as and when.

Make sure you have your chianti and fava beans ready for the 11th!

Morning!

My nose is still a bit drippy but otherwise I'm doing much better.

It's a busy day today. I see my oncologist this afternoon. I also have a lot of shopping to get. The ZombieCatsâ„¢ have just had the last of the wet food for breakfast. They won't be amused if more isn't obtained before it's time for dinner. Grin

Glad your cold is now coming to an end Zombie. Hope your apt goes well this afternoon. Will you be having a late trip to get your breakfast ? No your cats won't be best pleased if they don't have their expected dinner, you would be " in the dog house " Grin

iklboo · 21/01/2016 18:51

Glad your annoying cold is nearing the end Zombie. Keep wrapped up though (in your woolly hugs blankly).

Any more news Lin?

I'm quite excited. I've been given a £100 Love 2 Shop voucher as a reward from work for being bloody brilliant at my job. Trouble is, I have NO idea what to spend it on! I'm determined to spend it just on me this time (all my others have been spent for stuff in the house). I'm thinking maybe Amazon voucher so I get spend as & when I see something I want?

IamtheZombie · 21/01/2016 19:44

Evening.

Oncology Clinic appointment went well. I was seen by an Oncology Sister instead of a doctor. She was fabulous. She's going to book a CT scan for the week commencing 29/02/16. I will then be seen in clinic a couple of weeks later for the results. She's also sorting out my Ciprofloxacin prescription. Tomorrow I have to chase the QE in Birmingham as I've not received an appointment for my MRI which is due week after next. Liver Clinic appointment is already booked for 18/02/16 to review the results.

Speaking of the QE... I got home to a letter from the Cashier's Office. They have my purse after all! I also need to ring them tomorrow to arrange to collect it next time I'm there.

Auspicious date for your CT scan, one in 1460.

Good news about your purse, don't remember it was missing but very lucky to get it back.

How frequently do you have to have chemo?

Sorry, I can't keep up with all the different substances that they throw at you.
But the chemo seems to be the thing that floors you.

Mummylin · 22/01/2016 09:29

Glad it went well Zombie. I didn't know you had lost your purse, but I'm glad you will now have it back.
No further updates Ikl, things are still pretty much the same, was the latest yesterday.
Yes Ikl spend every penny on yourself, well doing for being awarded it !!

IamtheZombie · 22/01/2016 22:30

Today I have:

Washed and dried 3 loads of laundry. This includes being able to hang the dressing gowns out on the line for a few hours. A final hour hanging in front of the AGA and they're ready to go.

Spent a lot of time up a ladder taking the glass globes and bulbs out of the chandelier in the lounge. I carefully washed all the globes and then went back up the ladder to put new bulbs in. Bugger. I had the wrong bulbs. So, it was off to Craven Arms clutching one of the blown bulbs so I could make sure to buy the correct ones. As I had to go to Craven Arms anyway I tossed some glass and paper recycling into the car and visited the recycling centre. Back home and back up the ladder to put the new bulbs in and replace the globes.

There was a bit of hoovering involved. God only knows how many dead moths and spiders fell out when I removed the globes. I also did some cleaning in the kitchen before mucking it all up again making bolognese sauce. :D

After dinner I portioned out the leftover bol sauce and those are now in the refrigerator.

I'm absolutely shattered!

Crikey Zombie, you have been a busy bee today. I hate when all the dead insects in shades go all over the place when you take the actual shade off. That actually us a job I need to do, they all need a bloody good wash. Yep that can be my job for tomorrow ! Makes you feel good dosent it when you achieve something. I have sorted out my freezers this week and now all ice free ( one of them had an actual iceberg I swear ) and tidy. That is a job I hate and I have to admit I don't do it enough.

iklboo · 22/01/2016 23:10

DH has a mortal dread of dead bugs. So it's up to me to clear them all up Hmm.

Sounds like you've had a very busy day Zombie. I'm afraid I've jettisoned dry January. A rather trying week. By 4pm tonight you could grate granite on my shoulders. I'm pleased to report the Baileys was absolutely fine. Emphasis on was.

FattyNinjaOwl · 23/01/2016 00:28

zombie you've done loads! I went shopping, then went to see my step-dad as its his birthday. Then I've pretty much sat on my arse all day. Grin
Tomorrow I will snuggle uo and have a jama day with the DC. Sunday I'm becoming a mad scientist and breaking out DSs experiment kits. Should be fun. Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 23/01/2016 00:49

But, but ... did you actually eat anything?

iklboo · 23/01/2016 15:13

Nails done again today. I'm getting all girly & ladylike in my ongoing years.

I've signed up for a free 'Introduction to Journalism' course starting at the end of March. It's an online one but sounds pretty good. It'll be interesting anyway. I might pick up some tips.

IamtheZombie · 23/01/2016 16:18

I may have pushed the boat out a bit too far yesterday.

Today I have managed to crawl out of bed, prepare and eat brunch, and sit staring at the TV.

Tomorrow is another day.

iklboo · 23/01/2016 18:56

Oh poor Zombie! Just put your feet up for a few days now, cuddle Zcats & recuperate.

FattyNinjaOwl · 23/01/2016 19:28

zombie needs to rest. You snuggle under that fabulous hug of yours and recuperate as ikl says.

magimedi · 23/01/2016 19:32

Zombie - take it easy - I know how easy it is to do too much & it's so fucking frustrating when you can't do it all. But some things will have to wait & cobwebs in light fittings are not an urgent job - ever again!!

You rest up, sweetie. That's an order!! Grin

DoctorTwo · 23/01/2016 21:16

Sounds like you used too many spoons yesterday and paid the price today when you ran out of them. (Spoon theory is A Thing, honest). A lovely ex GF told me about it, and I understood. She was lovely.

IamtheZombie · 24/01/2016 15:47

It was the 4 out of 5 candle bulbs that had blown that led me up the ladder, magi. All else was incidental. Wink

Doc2, I also understand spoon theory. I'm conserving the ones I built up yesterday and hoping to add to them today.

I had an extremely pleasant start to today. I received one of those "News about your ticket" e-mails from the National Lottery. It was sent at 01:45am so I knew it was better than a free lucky dip or 3 balls. I matched 4 balls and won £103.00.

Woohoo zombie
What do you plan to do with your winnings?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 24/01/2016 16:43

Congratulations Zomb, give yourself a big treat.

And take it easy.

I like spoon theory, it makes a lot of sense.

Mummylin · 25/01/2016 11:52

Well done Zombie, that is a lovely surprise. I didn't even have one number ! I hope you treat yourself to something. Or it could pay for a lot of breakfasts ! I hope you have recovered after your marathon day of doing stuff. I'm not surprised you felt exhausted. Everything in moderation I say !

iklboo · 25/01/2016 19:25

I hope you're feeling perkier & more rested today Zombie and yay for your windfall. Any idea what you'll be spending it on?

I've spent a grand total of £4.90 from my £100 award. On a new colouring book Blush

magimedi · 25/01/2016 21:48

The windfall should, without doubt, be going to the Phalanx gin fund Grin

Hope you are more rested today, Zombie.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 26/01/2016 00:06

As chief gin bearer we'll need your bank details to facilitate that magi

You can send them to me at [email protected]

magimedi · 26/01/2016 07:38

Sent, BBB - why ever not? Grin

You're up early!
