Although we have both been remarried for nearly 30 yrs now, we have remained friendly and still have been to family weddings and gatherings all of us together, and when my Ds got married we all sat with him and his wife on the top table. We have remained as mum and dad which we felt was really important, especially when the children were much younger. So I would be very upset when / if something happens which is looking very possible at this moment.

From what Ds has just told me, I think they will be going tomorrow. It has been constantly on my mind since last night. My Ds and Dd will be absolutely devastated if they lose him.

I have both the kids here deciding which way they will choose. Option one involves a London airport but takes them nearer to where they need to be. Option 2 is from our local airport but is further from their destination. Ds wants one way Dd wants the other !!!

They could race to destination?

I always think the return journey is more important.
Where will be best for them to return to?

They have booked to go from London. Dh and I will,take them up there and go and pick them up on Monday,
On a much nicer note, my niece who had a miscarriage about 4 months ago phoned tonight to tell me she is 12 weeks pregnant !! I am so happy for her. She was going to tell me at the weekend, but couldn't wait any longer.

Zombie - fingers crossed for minimal aches and pains today.

They are not going until the morning now, we are leaving here at 5am to take them up to airport. Then we will go and pick them up on Monday. No news today as yet.

Was up at 4.30 ! Went to pick up Dd and left there about 5.30 been back home about ten mins now ! Just enjoying a cuppa.

Hoping all ok for Zombie.
I dozed on and off all evening after my early morning jaunt. Not heard any updates since the initial texts I had from Dd . Maybe I will hear later when they have visited their dad.

Just heard from Dd via FaceTime. Dad was happy to see them, his breathing has improved but his heart is only functioning at 30% and that is the concern, hospital are trying to get it to 50% . No idea how,but they have now gone to the hospital again and Dd will be in touch later tonight, so will know a bit more then.

I've seen nowt from Zombie on Facebook for a few days now. She usually updates every couple of days, so yes, it's a bit worrying. She's in DDS though, so it could just be a power/broadband problem.
