There's still plenty of room for posts on the current thread but I'm starting this one now as I may be offline for some time.

I've asked iklboo to keep an eye on my FB timeline and to copy / paste the updates here so they should appear as and when.

Make sure you have your chianti and fava beans ready for the 11th!

Ignore me at your peril, BBB

I know where you live - roughly - Grin

You might just get hand delivered phalanx gin to set you back on the straight & narrow!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/01/2016 22:28

I think you can probably pinpoint me exactly magi Grin

Pop in anytime, with gin or not.

Have been trying to get back off straight and narrow since kids left home!

magimedi · 07/01/2016 22:39

Don't think I have you exactly, BBB - just down to a radius of about a mile & a half!

Which would be a long way to tramp round - even with gin to fortify me!

Am off to France next week to see PFGD but when I am back we really should have a mini phalnx meet - no?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/01/2016 23:16

No?

Yes?

Grin
magimedi · 08/01/2016 07:55

No was in the Spanish way1

So no = yes!

IamtheZombie · 08/01/2016 15:11

Afternoon Phalanx.

Temperature is normal. This is good.

But I ache. OMG do I ache. Paracetamol didn't help so I've just taken some morphine and waiting for that to work its magic.

OP posts:
iklboo · 08/01/2016 18:52

Oh poor Zombie. I hope the morphine has kicked in now and you can get some sleep.

Andro · 08/01/2016 22:42

Ginger works wonders for me when I get wind/bloating - either ginger tea or crystalline ginger.

I'm glad you've recovered well!

Mummylin · 08/01/2016 22:53

Hi Zombie and phalanx. Zombie glad there is no temperature rise , I hope it continues to stay like that over the weekend, but I hope your aches are eased by the morphine. Do you ever suffer hallucinations from taking this ?
Phalanx. I Have been severely lax in my training so I will practise double tomorrow. !

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 09/01/2016 12:12

Ikl I just read on another thread that someone took 7 years to drink a bottle of Baileys ShockShockShock!

Hope the morphine worked Z and you're feeling better today Flowers

iklboo · 09/01/2016 14:17

7 YEARS?!! No chance of that B3. As soon as dry January is over I'll be having naughty coffees. I'll hopefully be back at work in office, full time by then so I'll need it! Grin

iklboo · 09/01/2016 14:18

Hope you're feeling better today Z and that the morphine has done its trick.

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/01/2016 15:02

Hope morphine is doing its job zombie.

7 years to drink a bottle if booze? I would have thrown it in the bin if it was sat there that long!

IamtheZombie · 09/01/2016 17:32

Afternoon all.

The morphine helped a lot. As did a hot water bottle. I took another dose of morphine at bedtime and went up with 3 hot water bottles. I got a good night's sleep and woke up at 7.00am this morning feeling a lot better. However, at 10.00am I had to go back to bed. I then slept for a further 6 hours. I'm aching again but not as badly as yesterday. I've taken some ibuprofen and will see it that is enough.

Temperature is still behaving.

There's another bit of good news I forgot to share the other day. I've finally managed to get my weight up to 60kg. I will be a very happy Zombie if I can keep it there.

Thanks for the tip, Andro, and welcome. Sadly I'm not a huge fan of ginger but the peppermint oil tablets work well.

lin, no, I've never had hallucinations from morphine. At least not that I'm aware of. Grin

I have just bought myself some caramel fudge scented shower gel. It smells exactly like gorgeous caramelly fudgey goodness. If I use it tomorrow for my 'pre bed' pamper, is DH going to eat me in his sleep (and not in a good way)?

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/01/2016 20:02

zombie you can have some of my weight if you like. I need to shift it.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 09/01/2016 23:47

I congratulate myself if a bottle of Baileys lasts 7 days Grin

Glad you're feeling better Z, just go with the sleep love, it has to be a good thing.

I can completely understand being pleased about the weight gain. I lost well over a stone when I had that horrible bronchial virus.

Back up to 9 and a half stone now and people are only just admitting how worried they were that I looked so dreadful.

IamtheZombie · 10/01/2016 10:18

Today is not a good day. I'm sure there must be some part of my body that doesn't hurt but I haven't found it yet.

OP posts:
Mummylin · 10/01/2016 12:57

Oh Zombie, how horrible for you. Is the morphine not helping at all ?

iklboo · 10/01/2016 14:02

Oh no Zombie. You poor thing. I really hope the morphine kicks in and the hot water bottles give some comfort soon.

IamtheZombie · 10/01/2016 20:55

The morphine is helping to dull the aches but I'm still very much aware of them. I managed to doze on and off for a few hours this afternoon. I've taken some ibuprofen and now have hot water bottles surrounding me. I'll take more morphine just before I go to bed. With 3 hot water bottles again. I think I may also take a couple of my sleepy pills to make sure I get a good 8 hours tonight.

Tomorrow WILL be better. >

OP posts:
magimedi · 10/01/2016 22:46

Yes, tomorrow will be better.

Morphine & sleepy pills & ibuprofen - DO YOUR WORK!

Sending you lots of love Zombie - but HTF do you have three loads of laundry??

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 10/01/2016 22:58

Tomorrow will be better Z

Can you get someone to come and help with the laundry?

Have just heard from DS godmother that her mum died this morning.

Trying not to fume too much about the total lack of support she is getting from her two sisters.

I have to keep reminding myself that it won't help her if I slag them off.

magimedi · 10/01/2016 23:01

And breathe (as they say) BBB.

Keep the upper hand & be dignified & don't go for the slag fest (tempting though it is).

Much love.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 10/01/2016 23:51

Thanks magi, if it was my sisters (I don't have any) I'd be fucking slaughtering them. Probably achieving nothing.

My only interest is supporting my friend and I'm not emotionally involved so I can pull back and, hopefully, just see what will help her.

The sisters are still fucking outrageously selfish, self serving, small minded and frankly nasty.

Sorry to vent here Phalanx.
