Afternoon Phalanx!

Zombie is home. She had a wonderful Christmas at her in-laws.

Fortunately the rain passed us by. It's still unseasonably mild so I opened the lounge window when I got in. A bumblebee promptly flew in. Bumblebees are lovely but on Boxing Day they're just wrong.

ZombieCats have been fed and I'm now going to relax with my new Yuyu hot water bottle and Puss in Boots.

Glad you had a lovely time Zombie. I got through the afternoon with MIL & her fella. I think she'd 'had a word' with him before he arrived about not making all the conversation about him. They ended up just dropping us off after the meal and going home so there was no 'after entertainment' to worry about.

Lots of lovely presents - including posh gin & pamper stuff. And growed up colouring books and pens!

Hospital for MRI tomorrow at 10am. Need to get there for 9:30 for booking in. The gin will have to wait tonight

Ikl I also had a colouring book and crayons ! But I also had a new iPad Air ! I was absolutely stunned, I had no idea. I have always been happy with my little mini one. My gs did the setting up and retrieved all my photo from the cloud ( which I don't understand and don't know how you find it ) and now it's all systems go !
I have been thoroughly spoilt by everyone.
I hope all the phalanx have had a great couple if days.

I hope you can all gave a relaxing day today, which is what I intend to do after two hectic days. I found it a bit more stressful this year than I have before , and have told them all I'm not doing it again ! I had 9 for dinner on Xmas day, then 10 in the evening, then all back again last night apart from my Dd who had to go to out of hours yesterday as she had a terrible pain near her ribs and was dizzy and sick.they said she hasn't a cracked rib as we thought she may have, but she has recently had a chest infection, which has gone but she still has a really nasty cough. Hospital said she has probably bruised herself with all the coughing. The sickness and dizziness they said was because she took pain killers at home, then in the evening took two of mine and they don't go together at all ! I will be keeping an eye on her. She is really run down with all the stress from her arsehole ex .

Oh your poor DD Lin - hope she has a swift recovery. You put your feet up and chill now. You've earned a rest.

MRI went fine this morning. In and out in 20 mins. Lovely radiography staff. I should get the results in a couple of weeks. It's knocked me off a bit balance wise - wobbly at the mo but I've had a Danish for breakfast. That'll sort me out!

Sorry to hear about your DD lin, hope she feels better soon, there have been some very nasty, lingering, chest and throat ailments around this winter.

The avalanche of hospital appointment letters has begun.

Next week I have an echocardiogram on Wednesday and chemo on Thursday.

Two weeks after that it's Oncology Clinic on the 21st.

Chemo will be due again on the 28th.

Waiting for MRI appointment for first week in February.

Liver Clinic on 18th February. Oops. Just realised chemo will also be due that day. Liver clinic is in Birmingham. Chemo is in Shrewsbury. Bugger.

I'm also waiting for CT scan appointment. I need to check if a bone scan is due. Not to mention cardiology clinic.

This is known as living with Stage 4 cancer.

Dd is improving thankfully, but the arsehole is still around causing problems.
But it's her birthday today so will be going over to take her a few things to cheer her up a bit.
I wonder what the new year will bring for us all.

It's weird. I can remember when my life wasn't circumscribed by hospital appointments / scans / treatments but that seems a very long time ago. After 4 years this has become my normal. I have to say it's been a lot easier for me to cope with it all since Scrotebag buggered off.

You'd have to make a real effort to be duller than Zombie. Just pull up a bean bag, make yourself comfortable and talk shite. That's all it takes.

I am currently the world's most relaxed woman after a spa day (thanks to DH). Facial, head neck & shoulder massage, foot treatment & nails done all posh. Plus prosecco. It was so lovely & the girl (and she was a wee thing of 18) was delightful.

And Zombie ain't boring, either!!!

Too right that is an avalanche!! I'd need a secretary to remind me!

I don't post as nothing useful to say but I do like seeing you doing so well, Zombie, and love seeing all the support you have.

I'm pretty unwell at the moment and it's nice to think I would have support if I asked for it.
