Hi everyone! Can anyone give me any advice on Bizzykidz? My daughter has just been accepted and just want to know if anyone can let me know if im stepping towards the right modelling agency? Thankyou

julie4travel · 02/11/2006 21:07

LJImilly - its a bit of a touchy subject on here as it appears some kids get work with them and others not. Strawb who is mentioned further down is happy with them. my friend has never had anything out of them

all i can suggest is dont go with the first agent that accepts you , see what other agents think aswell and go with your gut instinct what is best for your child! have a look on www.childmodelling.net for a list of agency profiles. Good luck in your decisions. It took me 6 months or so to decide who my kids should go with as some charge high fees some none so you have to look at the pros and cons

ellesmum there is still time to get the call

mrsratty · 03/11/2006 09:46

Morning all,

I looked on star now this morning and there seems to be a few things DD would be suitable for, I'm just too mean to join!

NewDKmum · 03/11/2006 09:54

Morning all,

Have just had a look on starnow as well - cant see how much it costs - does anyone know? Also noticed there is an ad offering to make you a yummy mummy - thought I might apply for that as well

DLM - my dd has been asked for availability for the Boots shoot so am willing the phone to ring... Have you had any more details?

julie4travel · 03/11/2006 10:00

mrsratty and newdkmum - i paid about £15 for three months membership initially. some of them give you a website address when you go to apply some dont and go directly to the people who listed it. mrsratty email me any titles you are interested in and i will look for you

julie4travel · 03/11/2006 10:06

hiya all

anyone watching this morning, they have 2 children on there that went to the british isles comp, I have seen their mum before on the tv, cant believe a 10 year old has a regular fake tan

tinkerbel5, yes i just watched that, thought the little girls hair would have looked much better without the extensions, also cant see why she really needs a spray tan? but at least shes not going on a sunbed!

Tinkerbel5 · 03/11/2006 12:29

yes lanismum lucky the child dont use a sunbed cause they arent good, couldnt believe either that the little girl had acrylic nails on, I know little girls love their nails painted but thought the falses were pushing it a little far.

Julie it was only cause I recognised the british isle sash the little girl and her brother was wearing otherwise I wouldnt have know what comp they were in, apparently the 10 year old had come third.

ellesmum · 03/11/2006 12:35

that is just soooo wrong letting a little girl put fake nails and tan on!

julie have emailed u bak

julie4travel · 03/11/2006 12:43

although i havn't watched the programme i think the boy was in my ds category! the event people read this forum regulary so i am not posting anymore on it yet i understand!

OP posts:
dylansluckymum · 03/11/2006 12:45

that in a nutshell is why i think pageants are so vile. our society doesn't seem to let kids be kids anymore. i find it very disturbing.

newdkmum i haven't heard anything yet. am feeling slightly miffed because b&b made it sound like it was confirmed but then yest said 'hope they both come through'. who is your dd with?

btw does anyone know, has amal left b&b? just wasn't sure if carla was permanent or filling in for a holiday or something...

julie4travel · 03/11/2006 12:47

dylansluckymummy re b and b -which was the one who has recently had a baby and on maternity leave?

OP posts:
mrsratty · 03/11/2006 12:52

I think Amal just works Monday and Friday.

Anhyone under 16 entering a pagent should be disqualified if they have been enhanced, it really is disgusting!!!

mythumbelinas · 03/11/2006 12:56

ellesmum, have just seen your dd's advert she was great, she did so well!!!

oh, i didn't watch it, but if they do fake tans, false nails, etc .. that's why child modelling gets such a bad name sometimes .. people associate it with that!

.. it's my bday today

mrsratty · 03/11/2006 12:57

Happy birthday!!!!

beaubebe · 03/11/2006 12:59

Hi All
Thanks for the lovely comments re Josie and the boys.
I would love to join B&B but am guna have to wait til contract runs out. Think if I didn't give propa notice I would hav to pay for potential jobs missed or summat, not sure on that??

Re Starnow, think i paid £20 for 6 months, got nothing from it yet tho. Fancy the Yummy Mummy thing, could do wiv a makeover

lanismum · 03/11/2006 12:59

her little brother did make me laugh though, 'if you pull them off they will rip your whole nail off' such a little boy!
