Thought I would start a new thread for November

How exiting it makes me have butterflies in my stomach! I have called them back and accepted! Thanks ladies! They are puttting a contract pack in the post!

hi raga- no call for us, i presume you haven't heard. text me if you ds gets it or the other ds who we were chatting to, i am hopeful that one of us gets it we have a good chance between three of us!

mummyaj- superb. what age group is your dd?

It really was an off chance I think, I took that photo of her in the bath, she has a bubble on her chin & snot coming out of her nose! But hey that's babies for you! Fingers crossed that someone else will want tobook her for a job, thank you for all of your help!

congrats mummaj my ds is with b&b and to say he's been busy would be a bit of an understatement i think!!! it's been a busy time for babies and toddlers so hopefully you're joining at a good time.

well done mysons for woolies, they were very nice the studio (c) is a bit smaller than the one we've been to there before but it won't be such an issue when you don't have to worry about laying babies out for nappy changes!

i must be losing it but i've looked on the disney website 10 times and i can't see even a little pic of LM's ds ... am i blind???

littlewoods went well this am they only planned to have him in 1 outfit but as he was so cheery they put him in 2. photographer (tim mallasomething??) was very funny and cheeky and i was glad we went.

then the really exciting news... casting for practical parenting is for a potential cover!!!! i almost wish they wouldn't tell you because it's hard not to get all worked up. actually b&b didn't tell me but they did at casting the woman was just unbelievably nice and seemed to really like ds so fingers and toes and legs... etc. etc. crossed for that!

oh mrsratty missed you! i've lost track now, was that for the italian mag? they do love their fashion don't they! will you be able to buy copies of it here when it comes out?

Hello MummyAJ. I must say that your DD is absolutely gorgeous - what a fantastic photo! I'm sure she will gets lots of work with B&B. My DD has just joined KidsLondon after being with ES so am eagerly waiting for the phone to ring now.

DLM - Hope PP casting goes well. Glad LW shoot was good too!!

DLM.....Glad that the Littlewoods shoot went so well and that he was used for 2 outfits......that's a bonus! And really glad that he was still a happy chappy for the PP Casting! A cover!!! I am just as excited for you. Hope he gets it!

Well I picked up the latest Girl Talk Extra Mag(the smaller size one) today and there are 2 gorgeous pics of my DD in it!! The best ones from that shoot so far. She is on the cardboard word puzzle sheet which comes with the mag and then again full page with another girl inside.

julie......still nothing on BBC......So guess it's a NO! Nothing from my other friend either. Can't believe how many student things you have been called for! You are right to snap some of them up though. So often you go months without anything suitable and most often when there are they just never get back to you. Well that's my experience anyway.

Mummyaj ,Your dd is gorgeous! Definitely,Definitely go with B&B! My DD who is nearly 3 is with B&B and we are really happy with them. Totally agree with Ragamuffin re last minute nature of this industry they will call you on your mobile as soon as a casting or job comes in.HAve occasionally had calls asking if avaliable that day for last minute casting ,also 2 calls to ask if avaliable for a job that day.It can be very difficult to juggle if you work or have other kids etc.Good luck and well done!

thanks all, i'm seriously waiting with bated breath for the phone to ring now! raga i have issue 307 of girl talk (i buy them for my niece in canada, apparently uk mags are 'cooler' than canadian ones), does she have any in that? i'll look for the small one next time i'm out.

mysons i actually walked to spring studios as we live quite close so i'm not much help i'm afraid.

also julie forgot to say well done to your ds, even if you can't do all of them because of dates it's nice to see him getting the offers! i'm sure he'll get a paid job as soon as they have something for his age.

dlm- fingers crossed for the cover, he is so in demand hopefully front page!

raga- hopefully we could still get the call? great dd is in the mag again, scan the pictures in if your pc is alright and email them over. fingers crossed for your dd on the job next week. i have emailed you an unpaid job over which maybe one to consider for your kids- if you have had it?

still no news on starnow job for sun. isabels son has got the baby one which is good.

Got a call asking if DD could do a portfolio shoot on Saturday, hopefully we will hear back from that as I will get copies of the photos.
I wonder if it's the same one you are waitiing to hear from Little madam as it would be great to meet!

mummaj - B&B are fanatastic, they will do well for your gorgeous daughter.

DLM - My DD has done a few jobs with Tim and adores him. He's so friendly. He took the picdture of DD in the red coat and some of the MC pictures too. Fingers crossed for the cover shoot!

maybe you can help - if i walk out of kentish town west do you know what way i walk to studio. dont worry if you cant help. can anyone else?? thanks

DLM.....No she's not in issue 307, but is in the next one 308 which was out 8/11/06. In that she's on pg31 with a dark haired girl.....she's the blonde!

julie.....will scan for u later just a bit rushed right now need to do bank and school run and then the dance class and gymnastics thing. My e-mail is finally working again.....42messages later! I was so frustrated yesterday! Got the job but won't be going for that will e-mail later to tell reasons on that one.

raga you are a busy bee. no urgency. i am in harrogate tommorow so wont have much internet access anyway after tonight. will be a long day in meetings!

DD's been confirmed for the test shoot. The photogarpher is Ian Drury and I think the stylist is the same one she had yesterday!

Can anyone tell me how your children got started in this area? My son loves to entertain everyone and is cute (I would say that though) and people are always saying he should do modelling, adverts etc but I don't know where to start.

twoboysmum- have a look on www.childmodelling.net for agency profiles. further down the thread housemum wrote lots of pros and cons to child modelling read that and really consider its definitely something you want to do before applying etc.
