thanks tinkerbel5..ds is only a casting but you never no he might do well.

thanks mrsratty.

littlemadan.thanks for telling me its like adams.its nice to know what sort of clothes they do.dont want him going up there overdressed or to untidy straight from school.

littlemadam · 03/11/2006 19:12

Marymay, Mackays do some really funky outfits for boys! Think your DS will like them! They do good window posters too, so fingers crossed!!

dylansluckymum · 03/11/2006 19:22

thanks everyone! i like that he makes women broody, makes me feel like i've done something right.

yackerty is your dd confirmed for boots thurs then? which agency is she with again (i can never keep them straight)? i wonder if i might still hear or if that's a no then...

ah, nothing can make me feel sad right now! having celebratory wine with dp and ds is sound asleep.

dylansluckymum · 03/11/2006 19:24

oh sorry dkmum, meant to say we live in camden, NW1. not too bad to ashford int, we went there for the white co shoot as well. about an hour from charing x or victoria on a fast train.

dylansluckymum · 03/11/2006 19:26

btw has anyone worked with a photographer named Stephen Bartlett before? i think that might be him for adams shoot. or he could just rent out his studio!

ellesmum · 03/11/2006 19:32

DLM he looks absolutly georgeous u must be sooo proud i showed elle too!!

marymay - dd went to the mckays casting last tuesday the clothes were cute, they took her in a little room and took about 2 pics of her on a digital camera we were in and out in 2 minutes, loads of kids there too. they said the shoot was for 20th or 27th november i asked when i would find out if she got it and they said by today but havent heard anything yet so guess its a no for us, although if they are still casting i dont know!

mackays is quite a walk from the station although i went by car but passed the station and it was a bit of a walk.

how old is your ds?

yackerty - well done for boots!

ellesmum · 03/11/2006 19:34

DKMUM - CONGRATULATIONS!!!Are you booked for thursday or friday?? we may see you there!
DLM - we found out quite late this afternoon so it may be that B&B had gone home and they will let you know monday. Bet you can't stop grinning and looking at his pic can you!
Marymay - Good luck to your DS for Mckays

NewDKmum · 03/11/2006 20:52

Yackerty - thank you and congratulations to you too! Dd is booked for friday - you were booked for thursday, right ?

yackertyyack · 03/11/2006 21:05

Ahh thats a shame - we are thursday and in london! Must be for different mags. I know that they do one for people who are nearly due babys, then another one at 3months+ , as i have just received a new one myself. Will let you know how we get on

dylansluckymum · 03/11/2006 21:39

yackerty, it's my desktop pic now. who knows it may be monday, fingers crossed. who is your dd with again?

forgot to say good luck for casting marymay!!

housemum · 03/11/2006 23:58

DLM & Yackerty - the Boots mags can be hard to get hold of as they only go out at certain stages of pregnancy/age of child so try to find out what age group your LOs are doing the pics for. My DD was on last year's 24 months one on the cover, flinging her arms round some blond fella in a "me and my daddy" sort of shot - I was going up to everyone I knew at toddler groups and thrusting Boots Parenting Club forms at them, asking if they could give me the mag when they'd had the vouchers out of it!! The publishing company, Redwood, were good though - they sent me 3 copies when I described what the picture was, and they worked out which issue it was - don't try calling the Boots helpline as they couldn't help, kept saying they'd put one in the post and they didn't.

Tinkerbel5 · 04/11/2006 15:34

helloooooooooooooooooo, where is everybody ?

yackertyyack · 05/11/2006 07:18

Morning all....mine have still not got used to the clock change yet!!! Bless em!
Housemum - thanks for your advice on BOOTS, I will make a note of the company you said publish it and give them a shout when i know what issue etc. and if she is likely to be used!! Perhaps I can tell Boots I am expecting another one!!
Hope everyone has a nice relaxing sunday

NewDKmum · 05/11/2006 07:41

Morning yackerty, neither has mine...

Shame it's not the same shoot we are going to - at least we can exchange tips on how to get hold of the magazine later on And a nice Sunday to you too!

Anyone else still disappointed after this week's lottodraw (I was so certain I was going to win the 88 million pounds, oh well, will have to wait until next week then) :O

yackertyyack · 05/11/2006 07:59

morning DKmum - at least i am not the only one then!!! Yeah, its a shame we are not the same day as I am yet to meet up with anyone from m/net!! Was going to message you - can you drop me an email at [email protected]?

housemum · 05/11/2006 20:20

Wow it's been quiet - everyone at firework parties?

BTW it is easy-ish to fib to Boots - you can update your details at the Advantage card machine in the shop so it's not exactly lying as you can pretend you pressed the wrong buttons!!! (Unless you're dippy like me and put the wrong date in anyway when you're trying to fib so get the wrong issues ... durrrr)

ellismummy · 05/11/2006 21:49

May sound a silly question but when you go to jobs and they have different changes of outfits for the little ones, does the parent get them changed or are they changed by someone else?

Brought a copy of junior today, cant remember if anyones lo is in it?

yackertyyack · 05/11/2006 21:58

hiya ellismum
I have always got my little ones changed but there have sometimes been someone who will take the little one off to have their photo taken! Obviously you can leave them to it if they are not bothered being with other people or you can go with them - what ever you are happy doing.. its your baby!

ellesmum · 05/11/2006 21:59

ellismummy - i always get dd changed into the outfits myself, think they prefer it if u do it.

i think pimms ds is in this issue of junior, fingers and toes crossed my dd should be in the next issue.

ellesmum · 05/11/2006 22:00

yackerty how old are your los? u are with kids arnt u?

ellismummy · 05/11/2006 22:04

Thanks, ds is 2, he is quite happy with other people, but for some reason dosent like anyone else helping him get dressed! strange I know, sure it is just a phase, so that is good that we change them.

Ellesmum they would be mad not to use her.

Is pimms son the article about the farmers markets?

ellesmum · 05/11/2006 22:25

ellismummy - what agency is your ds with? 2 can be a difficult age elle dosnt like anyone else getting her dressed either!!

julie4travel · 06/11/2006 09:19
