I think he must have left the instructions of what to post Blue

BlueKarou · 12/03/2015 15:52

I think you're right, Jason - seems like him; he'd been facing this day head on for a while now.

Oh no what awful news. I'm really sad about this. I hope he went as peacefully as possible. My thoughts are with his family.

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 12/03/2015 15:55

I'm actually sniffling here at work Sad Knowing it was coming, but oh, what a loss!

AlmaMartyr · 12/03/2015 15:55

So sad :(

spiderlight · 12/03/2015 15:55

Heartbreaking. Rest easy, Sir Terry, free of your embuggerance.

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 12/03/2015 15:57

Dh actually shed a tear.

IrianofWay · 12/03/2015 15:57

Oh no! He was a wonderfully witty and humane writer. So sad.

Thumbwitch · 12/03/2015 15:58

I'm still crying. Tears just dripping onto my legs. Thank God it's the middle of the night here and no one else is up. :(

I agree that Christmases will never be the same again now; I also always used to get the new hardback as soon as it came out. Pre-ordered, usually.

I'm so glad I got to meet him at the first Discworld Convention.

pillowaddict · 12/03/2015 15:58

Very, very sad. A genius Sad

Offler · 12/03/2015 15:58

Goodnight Terry, sweet dreams Sad

dragongirlx · 12/03/2015 15:58

Death isn't cruel - just terribly terribly good at his job

RIP Terry Pratchett you wrote the only books that would always cheer me up no matter how bad I was feeling

MrsMinton · 12/03/2015 16:00

Such a sad day and so many lost words now.

Tears from my DS too as he has just started reading the books.

I'm so glad I got to see him speak at Melbourne University, over ten years ago...

CatthiefKeith · 12/03/2015 16:02

There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. The world is a dimmer place without him,

Idontseeanysontarans · 12/03/2015 16:03
Sad
FlorrickArgosLockheart · 12/03/2015 16:04

God I'm crying... I wouldn't usually at someone famous, but I've been a fan for so long, been to a few book signings too. RIP PTerry.

LBOCS · 12/03/2015 16:04

I'm in tears :(

My thoughts go out to his family. At least now he's free of the embuggerance.

ladymalfoy · 12/03/2015 16:04

Sir Terry.
Thank you for always beating the bullies in your books.
Thank you for kick arse girls, women and crones.
Thank you for a world where everybody shuffles along nicely unless they are bullies.
Thank you for your humour.
Thank you for Sam Vimes being a good dad and reading to Young Sam.
Thanks you for witches that were 'well wicked' not wicked.
The light outside of the City Watch House will dim tonight.
SQUEAK.

shadowfax07 · 12/03/2015 16:04

I love his books, I've read them over and over again. The Long Earth books have just got me through chemotherapy. As a pp said, it feels like a friend has died. I feel so sad for his family and Rob, his assistant, but also, rather selfishly, that I'll never again open a new Discworld book, with all its promise.

Thank you, Sir Terry, and RIP.

Enormouse · 12/03/2015 16:04
