Zombie continues her cancer journey after chemo

The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

mummy, I still have at least 13 cycles of Herceptin which will take me up to July 2015. I won't know until after I get the results on this week's CT scan on 4th November what other treatments may be required in the short to medium term.

I have spent the last hour going through your first threads! My god what a time you have had of it. I think I first posted on the thread when you were going for a biopsy, before you knew you had cancer again. You have not been dealt the best of cards, now I hope you will get all the aces.

Hi Zombie, have you had a good day today ? Not overdoing things I hope. Have you seen anymore rats, is it the cats bringing them in ?

Evening!

It's been an 'interesting' life, mummy, that's for sure.

Today has been totally lazy. I slept fairly well last night and didn't get up until well after 9. Then I had a 4 hour nap this afternoon. My body just keeps telling me I need to sleep. I have learned to listen to my body.

Zing, my darling, the question is how are you?? I think of you every day.

Yesterday I met my friend and her baby while my car was having its MOT. Baby is now teething and mum said she'd been a real grump. I was very proud to tease lots of smiles out of her. She's not walking yet but is able to stand now without holding on to anything. I am besotted with her.

Tomorrow I hope to take advantage of a dry day to do some laundry and get it out on the line. I have no plans for Monday. Tuesday I'm taking the car for new brushes. Wednesday I have my next Herceptin treatment.

I'm ok, still painfree and less scared of op.
but this weekend sees the 6th "anniversary" of when we lost a baby (MC at 12 weeks) so I'm very sad and mourning all over again. We named her Yasmin. I really miss her

glad you had a lazy day but I beat you there, I didn't get up till noon!

do you like roast pork? DH is cooking tomorrow, you really ought to pop in! or I could send you a nice portion.

No laundry got done today, Bee. I have done nothing but sleep. Well, I was up between 10 and 12 this morning. I then went back to bed and slept until 6.30 this evening. I must cobble something together for dinner soon before I doze off again.

Evening Zombie, I was going to ask if you had a good day, but I see from your last post that a lot of sleeping is involved today. Your body obviously is needing it , it has been pretty battered over the last few months hasn't it. Do you feel refreshed after a good sleep ?

Hi zombie, have you managed to stay awake a bit more today ? And how is your foot, completely healed now ? I wonder when the wind and rain is going to arrive. Managed to get my washing mostly dried today, I hope you did too.

Hi mummy. Yes, I was more awake today but still didn't get much done. I'm a bit of an emotional mess right now. There are things other than cancer going on that I'm not coping very well with. I'll get through it. I always do.

I do have to be out and about tomorrow which will probably be good for me.

Still no sign of the wind and rain here either. I'll probably be out in it tomorrow.

Oh Zombie I'm sorry to read that, as if you don't have enough to cope with. Life can be so unfair on some people at times, it seems you have more than your fair share of crappy stuff at the moment. I hope things will soon improve for you.

mummy, after dropping the car off I first went to Costa for a blueberry muffin and vanilla latte. Then I went to Wetherspoons to try their new Philly Cheese Steak for lunch. Timing worked perfectly as the garage rang to say the car was ready just as I finished eating.

I managed to stay dry. I was either indoors or in the car when the showers passed through.

The ZombieCats are fair weather cats.

I'm off to hospital shortly for my next Herceptin treatment. I plan to reward myself with a KFC afterwards. Then a wander around Tesco and home.

DS has just messaged me on FB simply to say how much he loves me. He really is my shining light.

I have a small lump in my throat after reading that last sentence.
