The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Today I went to my hairdresser who works from her home, someone came in with a lovely little boy who dosent talk at all. Anyway he came to me and gestured he wanted to go in the garden, I asked if it was ok and took him out and put him on the trampoline. I held his hands whilst he bounced. The pure joy on his face was something to behold, it made my day. I'm not sure why he dosent talk, but thought this lovely little tale would add a bit of joy to your day.

Hope your treatment today went well Zomb and you enjoyed your KFC.

What a beautiful message from DS, that's very precious. It's so wonderful that you found each other again.

I think we will all need shed loads of tissues when you report back after your visit.

Herceptin appointment went well. CDC was understaffed and very busy but all the nurses still kept smiling. Bless them. They are truly angels incarnate.

I told them about my dead foot and subsequent tumble. I got a mild telling off for not seeing a doctor at the time. I'm to have the GP look at it.

The report on last week's CT scan was in my notes. It could have been worse but it sure as hell could have been better.

The good news first. No evidence of of mediastinal or axillary lymphadenopathy. Spleen, pancreas and bowel are unremarkable. No evidence of bone lesion. (Translation: No evidence of further spread to chest or armpit lymph nodes, spleen, bowel or bones.)

Liver next. The Docetaxel had absolutely no effect on the existing tumours. They are unchanged when compared with the previous scan. The anticipated shrinkage didn't occur.

Finally, 45 years of smoking have caught up with me. There are extensive emphysematous changes in both lungs with hyperinflation. However there is no evidence of any focal lesion. (Translation: I am developing emphysema.)

So...

I'll have to wait until 4th November to find out what they recommend now. I know they had high hopes that the Docetaxel would knock the liver mets on the head.

Damn, damn, damn.

Oh dear Zombie, not so good news about your lungs and liver. Are they now going to decide what treatment they will give you for your liver ? It is indeed a " damnbuggerfuck" moment. So sorry to hear this.

Sorry you didn't get better news Zombie. Presumably no change to liver mets also means they haven't got worse or increased in number?

Make sure you look after yourself re: bugs over winter. Last thing you need is a chest infection buggering things up for your visit.

Dear Zombie, we will all be praying that they can do something about your liver, you must be feeling very downhearted at the moment which is understandable. There are no answers to the "why me " I hope that you can find the strength to carry on with your stoicism.
