The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Let the chat commence!

Yes, it does bring the swelling down YeGods I think it makes all the little capillaries work extra hard, but you are right about it being a form of torture, so in that way it's also diagnostic, if you think you don't need it, then the sprain is not too bad, and it's the heat lamp and arnica that you need. Smile

Allalonenow · 15/10/2014 07:19

Oh and theraputic chocolate of course!

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 15/10/2014 08:12

Yes, but not applied topically. :)

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/10/2014 08:25

Hope your ankle is feeling much better this morning :)

Hi Zombie, I hope you get your dead rat removed soon.

I was in hospital for an onc review yesterday (I have lung mets) and although they didn't do anything and it was the fastest appt ever I was still shattered for the rest of the day. Dealing with health care professionals takes mental energy for me.

IamtheZombie · 15/10/2014 12:06

Morning.

I got a good night's sleep. Hooray!

Foot report: The swelling went down overnight. Arnica appears to be helping with the bruise. Very little pain now and that's without having taken any pain relief for over 24 hours.

Rat report: I've thrown the window open to let fresh air in and eau de dead rat out. Glad it's not as cold as it was yesterday. The Rat Removal Team should be here around 2.30.

And in today's other news: Today is the last day of taking the Ciprofloxacin.

Snogs, hugs and love to all.

That all sounds really good.

Hope the rat removal team get it sorteed.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 15/10/2014 13:56

I'm imagining a team in protective suits enacting a swift shovel and black bag operation. Hope the TVs survive intact. :)

mummylin2495 · 15/10/2014 19:10

Sounding very positive Zombie, good sleep and less painful foot with the added bonus of rat extraction ^and* the last day of ciprofloxacin !!! Things are looking up now.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/10/2014 20:02

Goodbye ciprofloxacin!

Adios rat!

Bonjour foot!

Have a lovely time with the Rat Exterminators Zombie SmileFlowers

Zombie is Blush Blush Blush

Very shortly before the Rat Removal Team arrived I moved one of the floor length curtains in the lounge. Guess what I found...

Ahem.

I donned a latex glove, picked the body up, took it outside and chucked it into the ivy under the Yew tree. The RRT did a check behind the TV units but no other bodies were found. Blush Blush Blush

Oh my god, thank god it didn't bite you when you were asleep or something , yuck I hate them.

IamtheZombie · 15/10/2014 22:27

Oh, it was dead, mummy. Very dead and very smelly.

Tonight I have been viciously assaulted by a champagne cork. I was removing the wire cage when it popped hitting me on the orbit of my left eye, knocking my glasses off and popping out a lens. It hurt.

mummylin2495 · 15/10/2014 22:35

So tonight your eyes were under attack ! So far that's your foot and now your eyes in just a couple of days !!! For gods sake don't do anything to damage your arms ! Mmmm I love champagne, I have lots of1glass bottles of "critters" here that my dh brought me back from France. Very nice.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 15/10/2014 23:08

Oh dear, hope the zombie glasses are mendable and not going to need mumifying tape to keep the lens back in.

Team buggerdamnandfuck rat removal clearly came eqipped for all eventualities, even a rat on the ceiling needing to be shot down with a champagne cork. Grin

I should think that is sore though now (unless you drank all the champagne, but your post looks too coherent for that). Flowers

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/10/2014 23:26

Ugh, I bet that made you jump! Yuck!

Thank goodness you've got some arnica, hope you don't have a black eye tomorrow. Although it would be a good excuse to get a nice eye patch, I've always rather liked them. Gold lamé maybe Grin

I've had a couple of corks in the face and now I can't help squinting and blinking if I open a bottle of fizz. The kids make me do it so they can laugh at me!

Take care Zombie.

Seriously!

Allalonenow · 15/10/2014 23:39

Goodness, what a day! The rat and the champers cork, you live a dangerous life Zombie.

Hope the foot is healing well, only worried about your eyes now! Please have a quite day on Thursday!! Smile

IamtheZombie · 16/10/2014 00:03

The ZombieCats are having a worse day than I am. There are 2 large dogs visiting. Extremely well behaved dogs but the ZombieCats don't know that.

There was a really good part of the day between rat disposal and cork attack but I'll tell you about that tomorrow.

Ginfox · 16/10/2014 18:26

Is today tomorrow? Or is tomorrow tomorrow? Grin

What have you got to tell us Zomb?

IamtheZombie · 16/10/2014 19:50

Well...

One of my visitors was my nephew Wetherby Bear. He's a very, very cheeky teddy bear whose Dad and Mum are very dear friends. On previous visits we have often visited the Three Tuns Inn in Bishops Castle. Wetherby quickly became a favoured visitor. Before their arrival yesterday, Wetherby had blagged a free brewery tour for us. The Three Tuns brewery is the oldest licensed brewery in England and they still use most of the original brewing methods. The yeast they use today can be dated back to at least 1880. Yes, the SAME yeast. When fermentation has finished some of the yeast is skimmed off the top, refrigerated and stored and then used again. It was absolutely fascinating.

Here's a link to the Brewery website

After the tour we naturally retired to the Inn next door to sink a pint or two and have dinner. It was lovely!

That sounds like my kind of day out - brewery tour, followed by beers, then starting on the champers when you get home. I am very much liking your style.

mummylin2495 · 16/10/2014 23:21

Sounds like you had a lovely time at the brewery yesterday, and then to top it all off with champagne ! Hope your foot has not caused you anymore trouble today and you can walk around normally again.
What happens for you now all your chemo is finished ? Do you have to go back every so often for them to check you out ?

Wolfiefan · 16/10/2014 23:26

Very disappointed you didn't invite us all to the brewery!
I don't drink much champagne but the tea towel over the top trick has never yet failed me. (Not elegant but my glasses are bloody expensive! Vvvvvvvvvvvvv shortsighted!!!!!)

mummylin2495 · 17/10/2014 19:44

Here's hoping you have had another good day today Zombie, I had a quick look at the brewery site, dosent it go back a long way. When I see anywhere so old I wonder about the people who would of worked there, how did they live, how old were they, what clothes did they wear etc.
