kerryarron · 24/09/2006 00:14

Yeah that's what I thought, must be a new thing!

NewDKmum · 24/09/2006 08:25

Morning,

My dd was accepted by Bubblegum as well a couple of weeks ago but when I got the material I called them and said I did not want to pay 100+. They said that it was optional and that you only had to pay the registration fee 20/25? can't remember - then they were happy to put you forward for jobs. They only included the material on the book because they are in the process of making it right now.

mrsratty · 24/09/2006 10:16

Bruce and Brown, Kids London and MOT are the same they take a small fee from first earnings and you can also pay to be in the model book. None of the agencies are free.

kerryarron · 24/09/2006 10:30

I think I'd be happier to have fees taken out of earnings, as that is a good incentive for them to get work for us hehe!

Tinkerbel5 · 24/09/2006 11:14

morning

mrsratty great to see your daughter on the next website, DD would like a karaoke machine but I keep imagining the constant noise

julie hope DS gets something soon, hopefully by next month things pick up.

princessmel · 24/09/2006 11:18

Hi everyone,
Love the pics mrsratty. I like the new name too.
We did the bgum model book shoot a few weeks ago. They are still doing them now actually. Model book is going to be online not an actual paper book this time. How would they represent the children that aren't on the website and in the book.?

lindac · 24/09/2006 11:31

Hi everyone, hope your all well

havent been on for a few day's, has anybody had the pic's from the cm london shoot, i havent had mine yet and heard nothing, those that have had them are they good ? does anybody know when we should be getting them ? cant wait to see them

educatingrita · 24/09/2006 11:37

lindac, I got Georgias pics from tht shoot early in the week and I think others have had there's too.
Maybe you could e-mail Isabel?
They werent as good as the Farnboruough photo's - more like snapshots, but as she took some of Georgia without her glasses that were nice I am happy with ours because I dont have too many of her like that.

ellesmum · 24/09/2006 11:58

lindac · 24/09/2006 11:59

ellesmum- forgot she isn't three yet. she looks older in her pictures! keeping my dd off pre school to go so hope she gets it!!!

OP posts:
housemum · 24/09/2006 14:44

Found you! Forgot that threads can't go beyond a certain size - i only ever look at "threads I'm on" so just thought everyone else wa on holiday or something!!!! Had traumatic Friday evening with a hamster so brain not fully in gear - thought my days of 2am feeds were over, but was frantically trying to save dd1's hamster who should be renamed Lazarus as she's back from the (almost) dead!!

julie4travel · 24/09/2006 15:27

housemum- i have to rescue a goldfish from floating at the top of our bown - my 2 year old at the time decided to feed it! Far too much food and took the oxygen out the water!!

OP posts:
housemum · 24/09/2006 16:32

We've done the goldfish thing but were not very good - lots of "bendy fish" ie found floating on their sides, head and tail drooping down...

Hamster recovery was amazing - DD1 had said her last goodbyes as we put the cage in our bathroom for the night (for obvious reasons she didn't want it in her bedroom). I felt bad that it was in a dirty cage, having basically expelled whatever it had eaten (hope no-one is sat eating as they read this...!) so DH put some fresh sawdust and bedding in the cage so i could lay it to rest in something nice. It was breathing but v slow, and felt cold - i wrapped it in some kitchen roll to warm it up and started to wonder if it would take some water as it was so dehydrated. Found an oral syringe and put in some water with a little salt and sugar - over the next hour, it would occasionally lick if I put some in it's mouth, then it started to move a little (up to this point it had no muscle tone, didn't move at all) - all of a sudden it's paws hold the syringe and it's drinking like a baby from a bottle!!! Still v weak, not much strength in back legs, falls to one side occasionally so it may have had a stroke, but it's alive - have reminded dd1 that this is probably a once only event and not to expect miracles every time she has a sick pet...!! Sorry to go on, but I am just so shocked and excited that I saved it's life - and I know it's a bit sad to get so attached to small rodents, but there you go.

YummyMummy21 · 24/09/2006 16:53

Hi everyone, hope that all is well,

Princessmel> Im really sorry but havnt uploaded the pics yet of ur DD and DS bt as soon as I do then I will get your e-mail and send them.
