hi

OP posts:
julie4travel · 11/09/2006 10:00

princessmel- my son is lovely too when we went for the nc assesment the lady said sit and relax and he sat down and put his feet up as he was relaxing! then he was chatting 19 to the dozen and i thought he has blown this, i was cringing with the feet thing! and they still offered him a place, i was gobsmacked! goes to show they like a bit of personality. I know though just to take lots of stuff to keep him entertained and he will be fine.

on sat he loved playing the football, the base was next to a big field so he was picking up sticks hitting weeds and just totally happy throughout even though it was a long day.

the caravan room was tiny i must admit and old yet my ds thought it was good having his own room. at least he wouldn't interupt other actors etc.

they had another caravan thing which served the food and drinks. my ds had been eating since we got on the train non stop so only really ate their bread and butter as i thought he would be sick soon. although later on after he had done his scene he ate two jam doughnuts and couldn't shove them down quick enough. little monkey at least he didn't get his clothes dirty.

by the way who was it who did the star now catalogue shoot on Thurs and how did you get on? I never did hear in the end! it would have been nice to be told a no rather than leaving it open.

ellesmum · 11/09/2006 10:02

well done julie sounds like your ds realy enjoyed himself! cant wait to see the film hes in!

strawberrymilkshake · 11/09/2006 10:09

Im glad the film went well for you julie, hopefully we will be able to see it, were keep our fingers crossed.

DD had a great day at her shoot on thursday as well there were some lovely kids there.

dylansluckymum · 11/09/2006 10:21

julie that sounds like a very positive experience. it seems your ds is made for that kind of work! hopefully it's just the beginning.

haven't heard back from bb yet is it normal for them to ring whether it's a yes or a no or only to confirm? as it's this thurs i would think they'd ring by today at the latest!

mythumbelinas · 11/09/2006 10:24

julie, sounds like your ds had a fab day!!
princessmel, good luck with agencies for your ds
sha11, hope your decision making goes well .. it's a tough one isn't it!! good luck with the MOT interview

ellesmum, since you've seen my dd2, you can see her in the KL gallery

ellesmum · 11/09/2006 10:24

dylansluckymum - they still might ring it depends on when the client tell them who they want.
fingers crossed for you, really hope he gets it!

littlemadam · 11/09/2006 10:25

Pimms, thats great!! What was it for?? I'll look out for him, I get it on subscription so usually four or five days before it hits the shops...is it out next issue or one after?
Julie, well done DS!! Has he got the bug now??
Mel, I think they expect lively, I'd try him. It is sometimes a bit overwhelming tho...we have "brave sweets" which work wonders, then after 5 mins he is having a ball!! I do think they get a lot of confidence doing this, and meet lots of new kids, which is great.

Good luck everyone with any jobs/castings...what have you all been up to?

julie4travel · 11/09/2006 10:25

thanks dylansluckymummy- yes he loved it and is thriving for more so hope something comes up soon!

princessmel · 11/09/2006 10:43

Which one on page 9 is she? There are some wedding ones and is a girl looking in a cupboard.

mrratty · 11/09/2006 10:46

Dylans, sometimes we don't get a call untill the day before, when we were waiting for a confirmation last time they rung us just before the agency closed!

mythumbelinas · 11/09/2006 10:52

Lydia is fine still waiting for her first tooth though! Nothing from ES still. The model book comes out in October so maybe will get something soon. How is Elle?

mrratty · 11/09/2006 11:11

My daughter fits the criterea, do you have to be a member to apply?

julie4travel · 11/09/2006 11:13

housemum - that posting is from CM net ! I went through to see if it was a different one and saw it was childmodelling.nets website. so people should be able to email them direct like before to get out of enrolling in star now etc

ellismummy · 11/09/2006 11:28

julie4travel, it is really frustrating waiting till jan to be represented by ts isnt it?
I am starting to worry a bit now as everybody seems to only mention people from b&b, mot ua and kl at castings, just worried as its a lot of money paid out if we only get a couple of castings or something.
I chose ts over others such as rascals, scallywags, etc as they dont have nearly as many on their books.
