kerryaaron- i waited three weeks for a reply from b and b (held off accepting places with other agencies) as i hadn't heard called them and they hadn't received the photos! so resubmitted again and then heard in about three days that he could go for assesment. I woudl personally give it three weeks and then call them to politely ask if they received the photos etc. Good luck. My ds is with them yet early days so not had anything yet.

littlemadam - thanks at least i know its just not my ds without anything. we never heard back about the oxford shoot thing tommorow so he obvioulsy wasn't wanted , never mind maybe he will get something before christmas

my ds just had his hair cut tonight so looking very short at present!

kerryarron I was quite lucky with b & b as they phoned me within 24 hours, well 48 hours really as I sent pics off at the weekend.

I suppose its all different and depends on how busy they are and how many applications they have to look at.

Not got much time to catch up with all the posts but just wanted to post a quickie to say I'm organising a girls night out for Saturday 30th September, as I haven't had one since before DD was born in January and desperately need one. If any of you are anywhere near Aldershot please feel free to come along. There'll be others there who haven't met each other before as I've asked all the girls I know locally, who don't necessarily know each other. Would be lovely to meet some of you. The plan is to start off in the Goose, probably move on at some point, then either onto Cheeks or for a curry depending on the mood. If anyone's up for it drop me an email. Same name at hotmail dot com.

we are also with rascals, been with them since march, we have not had a single phonecall or casting so you have been pretty busy really with your little one.
i am trying to get her pictures updated as she looks nothing like them now and hoping this will give her a few castings.. she was only 3 and half months when we first joined!
maybe something will come up for xmas!?!

Housemum, just saw ur post re b&b. I got a no within the week, and that was only a couple of weeks ago, so if it takes them a while that could be a good sign!

Really nice to meet you all yesterday

Sorry that I didnt get the chance to stop and chat to anyone much but DD (the looney 1) wanted to explore the WHOLE place esp. the upper levels. I felt like i'd done a workout by the time we left!

We really enjoyed ourselves and its nice to put faces to names.
Would be up for meeting again I'm not sure how i'd get to Lakeside but ill look into it.

ellesmum- no i didn't do the Farnborough shoot just did the earlsfield one and pictures aren't online yet. you will see when the next ones go online yet i only took my dd with me she will be the first child on the photos blonde hair

Is anyone else finding it deathly quiet on the modelling front!

My 10 year old is usually busy but no calls for 2-3 weeks and also nothing from theatre agent either ie CS management etc.
Georgia (the one with glasses) who some of you met at the farnborough shoot has got a new agent so looking forward to her getting some castings at last.

I dont think its been this slow all year. Anyone else busy?

educatingrita - deadly quiet to say the least, we haven't had anything since joining b and b even mandy and websites like that seem to have nothing new listed for kids. B and B said its normally quiet when kids go back to school. what agent is your younger girl with?

good morning! what's left of it anyway.

ds' casting with next yesterday seemed to go well, they were very organised but there seemed to be quite a few people on their list. i must say the quick snaps they took of ds were the best ones i've seen it's such a shame they just go to waste!!

b&b have rung today re availability for a calpol shoot. i'm so excited i'm shaking a wee bit. not sure what they'd be used for but she said it's potentially big! will let you all know.

i haven't been on much and not updated because every spare minute is going to knitting. what an addictive hobby!!! worse then mumsnet

I jst got back from the m & p casting with ds we were only in a few minutes, they took 2 pictures of him. I forgot to ask when they'll let us know anything did anyone else who went ask?

Julie, she has just been accepted with A&J, we decided against trying to get her accepted with a model agency after the knockbacks last time we tried.
As they both get the same commercial auditions and I think her look is suited to those,I think a theatre agent will be good.
If she hadnt been taken on with them I would have gone to CS, but happy she got a yes from A&J.

Hi Yackerty - went to Next casting between 12-1. Got there about 12ish. Wanted to get it out of the way to get back home! Lovely photos - so hopefully they will choose her. Did you go? M&B casting did not go well. Lydia is getting her 1st teeth and she was really grumpy on Friday. When woman wanted to hold her she started crying which is very unlike her so they turned her down on that basis. i'm v. disappointed but hey-ho these things happen. Any news with your LO?

educatingrita - good luck with aj they are supposed to be really good. they wanted my son to go for assesment yet i spoke to cs and carole was so nice that we went with her instead. If I had spoke to A J I may have gone with them who knows. I am playing it by ear if my ds prefers modelling or tv and then decide which route to go. He had a casting within a few weeks of him joining cs so they do seem to get the work.

I still cant believe the modelling agencies were so rude about glasses before!
