hi

OP posts:
yackertyyack · 19/09/2006 15:32

LOLLY, no next for us i am afraid - i am sure that if they have used your DD before then they will use her again....will keep fingers crossed! As for M&B we all have off days and a baby magazine must be used to it! Nothing exciting happening here, we were asked if we were free but never heard any more.....so maybe next time! Hope you are being spoilt on your birthday.
LANIS, AVOID AVOID avoid double buggys if you can! Unfortunately because mine are so close in age I can't!!!

julie4travel · 19/09/2006 15:34

LOLLY Happy Birthday!

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 15:43

Thank you Julie4Travel! Yackerty - how old are your two then? Is there piccies of them on CM.Net - let me know. Was so upset about M&B. Wished they had given her a chance. Never mind though - hopefully there will be more.

dylansluckymum · 19/09/2006 15:51

happy bday lolly!!! we were at casting closer to 12.30 so we would have missed you. shame about m&b, it's so silly because they could be angels at casting and then cranky at shoot there's just no guarantees with babies! i just heard back from bandb re Next and they want ds there next week. hopefully they need a girl too and we'll see you there!

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 15:55

She done Next before and the last time we went there were so many babies there for shoot and that was just for the Xmas brochure. Hopefully see you next week have not heard from ES yet.

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 15:56

DylansMum - Well done for getting Next by the way!! 4got to say so in last post! Have you heard back re Calpol?

NewDKmum · 19/09/2006 16:08

Just thought I'd mention that Bounty are having a competition for toddlers to be on the front cover of their magazine. Details on bounty.com.

Lolly - Happy Birthday! I went for M&B casting with my dd - and exactly the same thing happened - am guessing the caster must be fed up with mums explaining that they are not usually like that at all

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 16:14

NewDKMum - what time did you get there? What agy you with? I know what you mean but I really was telling the truth at the Next casting yesterday she was in such a wonderful mood. Its their loss thats what I keep telling myself!! ha ha

dylansluckymum · 19/09/2006 16:15

thanks lolly! haven't heard back about calpol yet the shoot is this fri so i'm guessing if i haven't heard by tomorrow it's a no. i wish they'd just check availability and not say what for so you don't get hopes up, def most excited about that so far!!

i liked the photographer for next did they use the same one last time? let me know if you'll be there would be nice to meet you! how old is your dd again? maybe she and ds will be on a few shoots together...

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 16:17

I know what you mean they did that with DS for johnson & johnson and she didnt get it. It is the same photographer really lovely bloke. Think he does all the Next photography. Is the shoot next Mon? DS is 8mths on 28th - how old is Dylan?

dylansluckymum · 19/09/2006 16:22

it's next tuesday. dylan was 5 months on sunday... and already has his first tooth! pooped through on his 4 month bday and is about halfway now. taking it's sweet time!

i guess he'll be in a different size than her but we may still see each other.

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 16:24

They say that boys get their teeth quicker. I think Lydia is getting both the bottom ones through at once.

NewDKmum · 19/09/2006 16:27

Lolly - We went there on Wednesday last week at midday - didnt see anyone else - was told that they would get back on Monday - didn't get it... Good luck with your other castings!

dylansluckymum · 19/09/2006 16:31

my niece got her bottom ones through at once too, although i think she was really early as well (4 mos, must be hereditary). now she's 11 mos though and still doesn't have any more! good luck with it, hope she doesn't suffer too much.

Lolly68 · 19/09/2006 16:33

All well so far. Hopefully they will come through with no probs!! Wishful thinking...

Quadrophenia · 19/09/2006 17:28

Hey Kaloo it was lovely meeting you guys too!! We had a nice day although it was a bit on the long side, can't believe you were there until 6.30, I bet your dd was tired!! Did she enjoy it?
Thankyou for the compliments, it would certainly have been a dull day if you hadn't been such great company, I've been out looking at DS lites today!!Take care xx

Hi everyone unfortunately didn't make the meet up, made it to london but on the late side as the trains from northampton were being replaced by buses didn't get to my sisters in Clapham until gone 5! Hope you all had a great time, sorry we couldn't make it x

julie4travel · 19/09/2006 17:35

lolly my son is 6 up on star of the month this month, the red head at the top. My dd details haev been wiped off now as i submitted the photo ages ago. She turned three in aug

seems the babies are all busy at moment

kerryarron · 19/09/2006 19:31

Hi everyone, hope you are all well!

I have decided to go with BK and Elliot and Brown (I think lol!).

Is anyone here with EB?

Well done Dylansluckymum - he is a successful model already! I'm not surprised though, I saw you at the CM shoot and he obviously has good genes!

julie4travel · 19/09/2006 19:42

kerryaaron - i am not sure what age your kids are yet as neither are sole rep (i think) then they can also go with a tv casting agent aswell so you will get the best of both worlds! They normally take kids from 3 years for tv work. CS Management are a good one along with AJ and lots of others thats if you wish to do the tv route

Bet it was a hard choice as it took me months to decide with my kids!

kerryarron · 19/09/2006 19:53

Thanks, I'm just going to Google them now!

My eldest is almost four so that might be a good idea

dylansluckymum · 19/09/2006 19:53

awww thanks kerryarron was it you that showed up as we were leaving or as we got there? i wanted to say something both times but was feeling shy! it's strange to chat to people online and then actually meet them!! do you have pics of your lo's online anywhere?

julie4travel · 19/09/2006 20:15

kerryaaron my son joined them in June

www.csmanagementuk.com/home/

Carole the owner is very likeable. You dont have to pay fees like some modelling agencies etc. All you pay is for the photoshoot for a head shot to be on her site at £52 approx. There is an optional choice to be on Spotlight too for a year thats about £80 and apparently casting directors do a search on actors etc on their and based on the requirements then go to the agent.

We wish we had got a non sole rep agency with both of our kids a! I was in a right pickle what to do

kerryarron · 19/09/2006 20:17

It was me who was leaving as you got there - the one your husband must have thought was a loon!

I have pics of both my boys on CM star of the week forum - Kallum and Kian :D

Rubystar77 · 19/09/2006 20:55

lolly- who is your daughter with, you and dylans mum seem to be busy with castings, we've had none, my daughter is 10 months.
just got 1st tooth as well!

Lolly68 · 20/09/2006 09:28

RubyStar - she is with Elisabeth Smith. They are ok but although have had castings over past couple of days it will probbo go quiet now. They are ok as an agency very established but they have so many babies on their books I think they spread the castings out to keep all the babies happy!
