Hi I am new to mumsnet (and am crap a text speak) but my daughter has just joined kl. Had the first casting within a week, and has since gone on to do more of them. Not had a job yet (tell a lie did get one for Disney but they phoned me up on way to work and Billie was already at summer club) one thing or the other not right (age, height, not got license quick enough), but I just thought that I would (try) to post a pic so to have feedback on it from mums with experience in this business. But of course to me even if she never does a job she still will be as lovely.\link[http:/s91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/mintie_01/t=billieschool.jpg]

BBWBabeLisa · 15/09/2006 21:21

re the meet up on Sunday - having looked at the website it doesn't look like there'd be much for a wee one to do (i.e one who can't yet crawl - or do anything much other than sit up). Does anyone know any different?

yackertyyack · 15/09/2006 21:38

hi elle31,
We are with KL and agree they are fab! Tried opening your link but it wouldn't work can you post it again??? If KL have taken her they must be sure she will get work wo I am sure it is only a matter of time for her first job!

PhoenixGirl · 15/09/2006 21:41

Just wondering do babies need a licence to work because ds hasn't had any contact with DK apart from them ringing about the casting on tuesday.

I don't know anything about this modelling lark just ignore me if its a stupid question

Rubystar77 · 15/09/2006 21:59

dylansluckymum · 15/09/2006 22:25

argh i lay down before dinner for a 'few minutes' and dp says he couldn't wake me so now i woke up on my own and i'm sure will never get back to sleep!

thanks for everyone's kind words for ds, i'll start trying to work on those extra eyes!!!

yummy sorry to hear about your tooth!

phoenixgirl my ds hasn't needed a license yet i think it depends on the job and they're usually needed for taking kids out of school. i'm def no expert tho!

ruby the cm.net shoot is for childmodelling.net they are redoing their website and promo material and some of our lo's are doing it tomorrow.

elle31 good luck with kl they've had kids at every casting/job i've been to so far so i'm sure your lo will do well.

ellesmum we'll def be there tomorrow i have even talked dp into driving me! see you then.

SamsMumLou · 15/09/2006 22:30

dariusmummy · 15/09/2006 22:46

Hi littlemadam I just read one of your msgs is it true they suggested you cut your litte ones hair? my little boy has long hair, more like ringlets do you think this matters,

julienetmum · 15/09/2006 22:47

Licenses are not about taking children out of school, they are about chaperoning and wellbeing, regulating the hours children work and conditions etc.

I was under the impression that even babies needed licenses but your education welfare officer should be able to tell you. Some are stricter and have slightly different interpretations than others.

dylansluckymum · 15/09/2006 22:49

rubystar my ds is 5 months tomorrow. he's with b&b and he's been pretty busy, especially the past week. so far he's had 2 castings, 3 photoshoots and has a casting for next on monday (that's in about a month). someone was saying a few days ago that it's supposed to be a good time for babies! best of luck to your lo.

elle31 i think your link still doesn't work.

signing off now goodnight all!

Rubystar77 · 15/09/2006 22:58
