its funny how they can be so different, really are their own little people! 2 of mine are blonde, 1 dark. 1 is easygoing, 1 isn't and 1 is just a monkey!!
Lots of lo's on here seem to be really busy, must be great walking into a store and seeing a big poster of your child!!

kerryarron · 14/09/2006 21:47

Has anyone got any experience with Bubblegum? I am torn between them and Bizzykidz, I've heard mixed reviews on BK, but no reviews on Bubblegum!

Rubystar77 · 14/09/2006 22:17

hello i'm new to this chat, i'm mum to ruby-star (9 1/2 months old)and have 13 weeks left for baby no.2.
Is anyone here with rascals agency?
Sounds like some of your babies / children are really busy at the moment...

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:17

hi

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:19

i dont know what happened but i couldnt post a message! has that happened to anyone else? so i had to change my username and password so annoying!

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:22

its ellesmum btw

kerryarron - i have heard bubblegum are a good ageny and plus they have a really low start up fee of £25 which is a lot less than bizzy kids! have you tried any other agencies? or just these 2? i would try lots of agencies first and then make your decision.

Rubystar77 · 14/09/2006 23:40

elles mum- what agency is your daughter with?
i've been looking on bizzykidz web site seems very professional and think start up fee is very cheap.

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:50

ruby - my daughter is with kids london shes been with them for only a few weeks and had 2 jobs and 1 casting and they are free to join

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:52

i was considering rascals for my daughter at one point but was put off by the high fees, and heard mixed reviews on them by other mums, i think they do get the work however so prob would be worth going for the interview and seeing what they are like.

ellemaesmum · 14/09/2006 23:55

ruby have you tried any other agencies?

Rubystar77 · 15/09/2006 00:13

hi, we've been with rascals for 6 months and had nothing, not a casting , phone call or a job, although i do know people who do get work with them, my nephews have had 1 job and 1 casting(joined the same time) yes fees are very high!
how old is your daughter?
thats great 2 jobs already!
i'm going to ring rascals and ask to update pictures as she was only 3 and half months old then when we joined and she looks so different now!

julie4travel · 15/09/2006 08:36

morning all

BBWBabeLisa - i originally got a no from b and b and about 4 months later resubmitted and got accepted. I guess their criteria is different at different times of year etc. have you tried Truly Scrumptious or Norrie carr. My dd is starting with TS and they seem to get the work. Fees quite expensive though. Norrie carrs fees are a bit cheaper and again they seem to get teh work. Both are sole rep though. Obvioulsy BK aren't sole rep so your kid could go with another agent too. Soem kids get lots of work from them and others not a thing. My friend registered her kids with them over a year ago and not had anything for any of them! Yet I have heard some people very lucky. their fees are a lot better than some. My son was with Scallywags last year.

strawberrymilkshake · 15/09/2006 09:14

Hi

I can only talk from my own experiences with bk. My dd has been with them since about may time. She has had 2 Jobs with them which we didnt even have to go to castings for. one for chessington zoo and one for a commercial for odeon cinema. I also know for a fact that she has been put forward for other things but has not got them. So they are definatley working for us. Also they are very friendly. My dd is 10, i dont know about other ages.

julie4travel · 15/09/2006 09:31

morning strawb- hope you are ok

still quiet on western front for us
never heard back from b and b regarding ds availability for tues next week so guess he wasnt picked. never mind. are spending sun chilling round the house with him as he has been so tired this week since returning to school and last weekend was busy. got an early start off tommorow for dd for cm shoot as her appointment is for ten so its going to take us a while to get there accross underground in London etc. I recon we have got to leave before 8am on a sat morning! she is looking forward to it though

princessmel · 15/09/2006 09:56

Hi kerry, My dd is with bgum but has only just had her shoot for model book so no work yet. Aparantly the website will be finished soon and then maybe things will happen for her. The staff at Bgum are very friendly and helpfull and people seem to say good things about them but I don't think anyone on here is with them apart from my dd.!! We'll just have to wait and see.

I still can't see the photos on CM.net. Its very frustrating.

julie4travel · 15/09/2006 09:58

hi kerry- my friend has three girls with bubblegum. the baby did a next shoot a month or so ago. the 3 year old have done a few tv programmes ( a little series) and the older one has done quite a lot too. she has been with them over 5 years and has always been happy with them.

i think the website is a good thing for them - they seem to get quite a bit of work.

Good luck in your decisions.

tavalana · 15/09/2006 09:59

RubyStar77 - isnt your daughter on rascals website? sorry being nosey!

Kerryarron - i also applied at bk and bubblegum and i was not impressed by bk's email saying that by being accepted by them the chances of work were very high. that's misleading info to me. heard lots of mixed reviews about them and from what i gathered only older kids actually get work. try childmodelling.net forum? lots of people talk about them there. plus they have a list of other agencies?

Julie4Travel - what time are you going to cm.net shoot? we're going at 1pm anyone else at this time?

tavalana · 15/09/2006 10:09

RubyStar77 - just found her hehe she's a beautiful girl, love the hair style! have you tried kids london an bruce and brown?

julie4travel · 15/09/2006 10:27

tavalana- my dds appointment is ten am, anyone else going to be there after that sort of time?

educatingrita · 15/09/2006 10:42
