julie4travel · 14/09/2006 11:54

Tinkerbel5 · 14/09/2006 12:19

tiredemma · 14/09/2006 12:51

ta. !!

ellesmum · 14/09/2006 12:56

hi tiredemma,

ive heard mixed reviews on bizzy kids, as they acccepted my dd aswell, did you apply to any other agencies or just this one? where are you based?

ellesmum · 14/09/2006 12:58

i think bizzy kidz do get work but most mums ive spoken 2 have said their children didnt get any work, i think this maybe because they have quite a few kids on their books which makes the internal compertition quite high, have u tried the smaller agencies? plus they do charge a joining fee of £94

tiredemma · 14/09/2006 13:07

we are bham, its the only one I applied to.

Would like Urban Angels but their books are closed.

Just having a look on childmodelling.net for some more companies

ellesmum · 14/09/2006 13:27

you may find that the london agencies will be too far from u, as most of their work is in london, let us know how you get on with the local agencies, im sure you will find something on cm net.

mythumbelinas · 14/09/2006 13:55

thorntons, good luck for the white company and hope dd is much better with the car journey
My friend's 6yo mot model was in my car once .. she gets travel sickness too and threw up in my car .. hot summers day .. was terrible and v stinky!! Her mum personally cleaned and scrubbed my car but i had to do it a further 3 times!!

dylansmum, hope all goes well too for white company and with Debs

ellismummy · 14/09/2006 14:12

just seen they are after more kids for photoshoot on sat with cm net so have sent them a couple of snapshots of my 2 boys.

anyone who has already done it, do you think its worth doing?

dylansluckymum · 14/09/2006 14:26

hi all! back from debs shoot was much fun, our first proper studio shoot! they people were all so lovely, about 4 babies ds was the youngest and only boy. the camera broke in the am and we had to wait for a courier to bring new one so ds was asleep for first roll of pics then he woke up and they took another one! one of the girls about 1 yr old was gorgeous. they said the pics will be used for big posters in store that hang from ceilings and a couple good ones might go up in window!! he was in blue n white striped pjs with a little sleep hat.

another casting on monday, this one for next. i can't belive it poor ds doesn't get a day off! i really hate to say it but i think i'm going to have to beg off sunday because we really need a day to just chill at home (he's going to have no clean clothes!). it must be time to do all the baby stuff for businesses at the mo., i guess we should enjoy it while it's busy!!

thorntons hope it all went well today for white co shoot. let me know what it was like, i'm looking forward to tomorrow but a bit apprehensive about the journey.

housemum your dd is a beauty i love the one of her looking left with her hair over her face.

ellesmum elle looks gorgeous too, naturally! they got some really good shots. can't wait to see what they do sat. have you received any details yet?

are there no other pics of mumsnet kids?? it's a shame about the radiator in a few of them!

ellesmum · 14/09/2006 14:44

glad to hear the shoot went well dylansmum havent heard anything yet on the time for shoot on sat. dylan is doing so well!!

lindac · 14/09/2006 14:45

Hi ALL

has everybody with lo's with KidsLOndon done the photoshoot for the model book and website ? my dd joined them about a mth ago she is 11 and so far we havent had any castings, but have had a letter re the shoot in oct, will doing this shoot encrease her chances and is it worth doing, i dont mind paying out the money i think i just a bit of encouragement !!
Are there any girls out there in her age group getting any castings/jobs ? as all your younger ones sound like their doing realy well, congrats to you all
Thunder storm last night blew up our internal ariel so thats the tv out for a couple of days !!
Good luck with all your castings x

ellesmum · 14/09/2006 15:30

dylansmum - just been given time for sat for cm shoot 2.00pm isnt that the time they gave u? hope so!

lindac - my dd is with kids but not older enough to go in model book, i will be definatley doing it if she was as ive also heard it increases the jobs they get.

ellismummy · 14/09/2006 17:36

Hi been given 12.00 for cm shoot on sat for my ds2, they didnt need ds1, will any of you be there around that time?
The photos from the other shoot looked really nice, it will be hard for them to chose which ones to use.

marymay · 14/09/2006 17:44

hi lindac ...my dd is 10.she has been with u/a since last november.she hasnt done loads .i dont think there is as much work for older girls and all the older girls we have meet from u/a have had very different looks.she has had five castings and two jobs debenhams and a very small part in a commercial.her younger brother his 8 and has just joined them and he had four casting a job and two casting we couldnt make within three weeks .hope this helps .good luck to your dd

3lambs · 14/09/2006 18:09

Ellismummy, how many ds's have you got? what agency are you with?

Dylansluckymum, you've got one busy baby you must be so proud!! He's with BandB isn't he, my ds joined them last week. Haven't heard anything yet but v early days!!
Does anyone else have boys age 4?

ellismummy · 14/09/2006 19:13

3lambs, I have 2 boys, 5 and 2, the 5 yr old isnt really interested in doing it plus he is at school now so he isnt or hant been with any agencies, the other boy is a totally different character( its strange how siblings can turn out so different)!, he has been with bma since may and only had 1 casting, but we are going with truly scrumptious from jan 07, photoshoot for model book is in oct-same as julies dd.
Well done for b&b, they really are one of the best.

BBWBabeLisa · 14/09/2006 19:16

Hiya folks
Got back from Glasgow earlier in the week and still trying to get myself sorted out.
Loving the cm shoot photos (well most of them, theres a few pretty awful pics of Lola, but some fab ones too - amazing how one kid can look SO different). She's in numbers CMN093 onwards (some on her own, and some having her nits picked by housemum's gorgeous LO! lol). Probably gonna buy a few of the better ones (I particularly like 93, 96, 111, 113, and 117) to try another few agencies before I settle on BK (have had rejections now from B&B, MOT, and Scallywags, so not hopeful). Do you think it's worth re-trying places I've had rejections from once I've got better pics? Are they likely to reconsider or just dismiss?

3lambs · 14/09/2006 19:37

BBWbabelisa-am quite new to all this but if you think the photos are alot better i'd say give it another go, got nothing to lose! did you apply to all the ones everyone seems to rate on here?

Ellismummy-i have 3 boys, 9,7 and 4. Didn't really ever think about trying it with other 2(tho of course they're both gorgeous!!) oldest is bit shy and middle one is too cool for school!! only interested in football!!

housemum · 14/09/2006 19:51

Educatingrita if you are around - my oldest DD (13) was very excited that she recognised your daughter from Razzledazzle! We were looking at the photos and she said, "that girl looks familiar" so I told her and she went, "Ohhhh, yeah" and started clicking her fingers (she will probably hate me now as the tune will be going round in her head for ages!! - or maybe not, as I can hear she's put her CD on...)
