Zombie's journey with breast cancer

As most of you know, I'm having my second mastectomy on Thursday. I will almost certainly need to have more chemotherapy.

This is my thread for those who wish to walk beside me on my journey.

Here's hoping you had an uninterrupted sleep Zombie and that you enjoyed waking in your own bed this morning , probably surrounded by the cats !! Hope the weather remains good today so you can get out and sit in the garden.Dont overdo things, take it easy.

mummy, I had an excellent night's sleep. I'm afraid the ZombieCats aren't allowed in the bedroom. No one would get any sleep if they were.

Grey and damp here this morning. A friend is coming up from London this afternoon for the weekend. Should be an absolute blast.

I'm sure you will have a great time, you just come over as being such a fun loving person, I wish I lived near to you ! Glad you had a good nights sleep. You must feel better for that, glad you won't be alone over the weekend, you have terrific friends. Not very sunny here either, but at least for now it's dry. Your great attitude and spirit will help you through this and we are all rooting for you.

Good morning!

My friend arrived around 4.30. We may have had a G&T to celebrate. We went into Bridgnorth for dinner and popped open the champagne when we got home. BBC4 music programmes were particularly good last night. We had a fantastic evening before crawling up to bed at 3.30. Friend is still asleep.

Life is good.

Friend emerged at noon. Grin

We went into Ludlow this afternoon. Selection of cheese and a huge bunch of asparagus from the market. Gorgeous looking joint of beef from the butcher. Huge lunch at the Olive Branch. Quick whiz around Tesco for a few other bits and pieces. Now home enjoying a G&T. Will start dinner soon.

mummy, I see the oncologist on Tuesday morning at 11.00.

Evening!

I've had another absolutely fabulous weekend. The roast last night was very nice indeed. She cooked our breakfast this morning and all I've managed since is a roast beef sandwich tonight. My friend went home this afternoon.

prettybird, I was told I didn't need to share the tablet so I didn't. Wink

My hair is starting to go. I shed a bit on my pillow last night. Today if I tug on it, it comes out in huge tufts. I suspect there will be a lot more on my pillow in the morning. I'll take some pictures tomorrow as I think it's going to go quite quickly this time. Best of all, my chin hairs have already fallen out. Grin

So glad to hear you had a great weekend. Now your friend is going home do you have someone else coming to stay with you and attend the hospital with you tomorrow ? Sorry to see about your hair but I guess you know all about it from the last time and you know it will grow back. I am in awe of your good spirit Zombie
