sanssoleil · 11/02/2014 01:31

yes but with'eye-watering' balls come on now!!

sanssoleil · 11/02/2014 21:10

Hope everyone is ok.We had massive hailballs here then slanty blizzardy snow, everything quiet now.

Had to take my poor mum to GP-then A&E today.

Stitches she had had in an operation 5yrs ago had 'emerged' on the surface of her skin-lots of junior dr interest at the 'intrigue'-not so funny this side of the incident IYSWIM.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 11/02/2014 22:13

Oh dear sol, I hope they weren't too insensitive, and your mum wasn't upset.
Can they fix it?

sanssoleil · 11/02/2014 22:36

The 'old stitches' have been sent to path lab. mum is fine-lots of lovely young drs and nurses complimenting her/disbelieving her ageGrin

I am pretty fucking furious[internally] as I thought her surgery/non-after-care at time was piss-poor and she has been telling GPs for 5yrs she felt 'something' was wrong and she was 'humoured' it was all psycho-somatic.

Anyway sorted now and I will be asking judicious questions about this surgeons'form'.......

Flowers thanks for asking

IamtheZombie · 11/02/2014 22:39

When Zombie was 21/22 she ran into the kitchen and slipped on some spilled water. She stopped herself from falling by catching the counter with her right hand. Shortly thereafter she started having numbness and pins & needles in the ring and little fingers of that hand.

After a couple of months she saw her orthopaedic surgeon and he decided to operate. The operation was done under a local anaesthetic. Being a wimp, Zombie steadfastly stared at the wall on her left hand side. All was well until the surgeon suddenly said "Oh, now this is very interesting. You don't see this every day." He then called all the med students over to take a look.

All Zombie could think was "WTF? That's my wrist he's on about!!!". When Zombie squeaked the surgeon was quick to reassure her that it was nothing sinister - just interesting. There was excess muscle tissue where the muscle should have tapered down and into the tendon. The surgeon trimmed it away, stitched her up and put on a half cast to protect the wrist while it healed.

Zombie then attempted to dress herself. She slipped her right arm into the bra strap and then used her left arm to lift the right arm up and shake the bra down to her shoulder. So far so good. Except that then she let her right arm go while it was still above her head. Gravity took over and the arm and cast fell squarely on Zombie's head.

She then rang for a nurse to help her dress. Grin Grin Grin

I loved being an interesting case-historyAngry

so it all gives me the Rage.

I will be my poor mums personal nurse so the upside is I can style her to my stringent tastes ZGrin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 11/02/2014 23:22

Ouch that must have hurt Zomb.

So frustrating when they're so patronising sol, and then you have to choose between trawling though all the records to prove that they were wrong, or letting it go and bottling the rage. Which ultimately makes you ill again Angry.

Nope, still no outfit. Need the weather to change.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 12/02/2014 00:52

I always find her stuff a bit clunky.

I'm thinking more fluid.

sanssoleil · 12/02/2014 00:57

Fluid and stark or fluid and froth?

Belgian designers quite good for former.
