Haven't read the memoir, maybe won't bother on your review. Autobiographies are almost always nauseating.

Zombie suspects that a lot of folk on MN probably think she has over shared details of her life. But there is much she has never talked about on here. She is now ready to reveal a bit more.

Zombie was 21 when she married for the first time. When she was 23 she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She and her husband separated when the baby was a year old. Following the separation her husband really couldn't be bothered with either her or our son.

Zombie struggled for another 15 months or so to raise her son on her own. Well, not actually on her own. Her mother 'helped'. Zombie is not yet ready to say much about her mother other than that her 'parenting' skills were sadly lacking. Mother tried to take over Zombie's son. You have to trust Zombie that she had extremely valid reasons for not allowing that to happen.

Zombie then made the most difficult decision of her life and took her son to live with her husband's brother and his wife. They formally adopted him about a year and a half later. She continued to see him occasionally until he was about 10. She kept track of where he was until he was 19. Then he dropped off the radar.

Two or three years ago she located him on one of those people finder sites. About 18 months ago she found his profile on Facebook.

On Wednesday morning she sent him a friend request. He accepted within a few hours. She really hadn't been prepared for that and had a huge WTF does she do now moment. Anyway she sent him a tentative message that evening. A few hours later she received an extremely positive reply. He told Zombie about how his life has been. She has been slowly telling him her life story.

Last night we happened to be online at the same time and chatted live on FB for about 45 minutes. We will continue to get to know each other. It is clear to Zombie that he is an incredible and amazing man. A man who wants to get to know his biological mother.

Zombie is blessed beyond all reason.
