Zombie has never deliberately exposed the ZombieCats to alcohol. Having said that, she has had her suspicions about ZombieCatT since very shortly after Zombie got her. She walked into the kitchen one night to find ZCT making love to a bottle of wine on the kitchen table.

Henley Royal Regatta is also an excellent venue for people watching and seeing some fall over. Late DH was a rower and Zombie has kept up the membership.

The picnic was the best bit-we took grandads 'vintage' fishing baskethamper.

I'm afraid I used to revel in taking our picnic in supermarket carrier bags and enjoy the horrified looks.

The fizz was always in ice filled cold bag though

I had to stop going after a while, felt too guilty when there were people desperate for the chance.

Zombie may have been known to squat and pee in someone's hedge by the parking lot at Henley...

Hope it was in Boris Johnson's garden when he was the MP there.

When I was 18, hitching through Spain en route to Morocco, we stopped very late one night for petrol. No facilities.

I chose a pretty tree, I thought out of the way, and not well lit. I decided if I squatted it would draw attention to what I was doing. So I pretended to be looking at the pretty blossom, and peed standing up!

A Spanish lorry driver appeared out of nowhere and shouted at me. Mid-flow. Nothing I could do. Fortunately he kept his distance.

I had the sense to take my sandals off and washed my feet!

I watched 'War Requiem'today and it was amazing/beautiful......I saw it in an art centre circa 1989 and I think I fell asleep with the heat eminating from the bodies of the cramped intense audience.
