Zombie once stayed in a haunted hotel in Brighton. She was there for 2 nights and both nights she was woken up by a very loud ringing bell. Only there wasn't a loud ringing bell...

Brighton would be great - plenty of watering holes to stagger round.

sanssoleil · 03/03/2014 22:58

Sorry meant the art term, the salon de refuses of the Paris Exhibition turned out to be far more covetable than the paintings chosen-I wasn't inferring Refusniks-so MN loss ,your party

magimedi · 03/03/2014 23:01

Thank you sol - I agree - it is their loss!

Humph.

When are you thinking Z?

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 00:19

Zombie is very flexible, Bee. Well she would be seeing as she can detach and reattch body parts at will...

Sometime in the next 4 - 6 weeks?

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 00:20

You aren't off the hook, soleil. Brum is just a train ride away...

Thumbwitch · 04/03/2014 00:31

Wot's this 'ere MN Open Day then? Confused I must not have been paying attention (nothing unusual there then!)

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 00:42

Thumb, Zombie doubts you'd have wanted to fly for 12+ hours for a few hours at HQ.

OP posts:
IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 00:48

Anyway it's bedtime for Zombie.

See you all tomorrow. xxx

Very true, Zombie! Goodnight, sleep well x

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 16:37

Bugger, bugger, bugger.

Today's post brought a letter for an appointment with my surgeon. It can only be about the results from last week's mammogram. As I had seen the surgeon at the end of January I wasn't expecting another appointment; just a letter with the mammogram results.

Now I'm worried. Sad Sad Sad

OP posts:
magimedi · 04/03/2014 16:59

Can you ring them to find out a bit more, Zombie?

How soon is the appointment?

Would you like a soothing Wine ? And a gentle hand hold?

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 17:11

I can try tomorrow, magi. It's a very fast appointment - 10.20 on Friday morning.

I'm trying to tell myself that the breast has been examined twice in the last 5 weeks - by the surgeon on 31st January and by the oncologist last Thursday - and neither felt anything to concern them. So, if there is something of concern on the mammogram it has to be at an extremely early stage. It's not helping much so far.

I was planning to give up alcohol for Lent. I may defer that for a few days.

Yes, please, to the hand holding.

OP posts:
magimedi · 04/03/2014 17:19

Giving up alcohol for Lent?

Well, I'm not meeting up with till after Easter, then Grin

Could it be that the mammogram was faulty in some way & they want to do another one?

Have you got a good easy film to watch or book to read tonight to distract you - that is really all I can think of - saying 'don't worry' is just stupid.

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 17:26

OK, maybe I'll give up chocolate instead.

If there had been a fault with the mammogram I think the radiographer would have seen it immediately. Even if not, I would have expected an appointment for another mammogram, not an appointment with my surgeon.

OP posts:
magimedi · 04/03/2014 17:35

Chocolate is a good idea - it's so much more unhealthy than booze.

Have to go out now - will be back later.

Dr Magi prescribes a glass of wine to relax you a bit.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/03/2014 19:27

Oh bugger indeed love. So sorry, what a worry.

Hope they can clarify and reassure tomorrow. In the mean time , don't give up anything that helps you relax a bit. You can always start Lent late and overrun a bit.
Can't you? I don't really know how it works.

Here's both my hands to hold.

sanssoleil · 04/03/2014 20:47

Just logged in....sending you lots of love Zombie

Nobody needs to give up anything, just keep hoping and looking forwards is more helpful.

xxxxxxxxx

magimedi · 04/03/2014 22:41

Goodnight all & specially Zombie - who I hope is relaxing in front of a fll-um or good book.

IamtheZombie · 04/03/2014 23:31

I can't stop crying. This is stupid. It's probably nothing to worry about.

But I just can't stop wondering how I could go through all that again. There's a lot to be said for going with the flow when you don't really know what to expect. I've had every treatment possible so I do know now.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.
