I mean MyKids..!

princessmel · 15/08/2006 10:43

Hi Pimms, Do you have the details of St. Albans Local education Authority? Google is not helping me much. Thankyou

mrratty · 15/08/2006 12:48

You'll need to look for Hertfordshire county council, there you will find license details. I kept looking at the Welhat council website and got annoyed at not finding it them remembered it was a conty not indidual council thing. I think they require 10 working days to process a license.

Pimms, well done I bet youre nervous!!

Well Im so excited for my DD today as she got payment for a job she did a while back for SONY.
They took some shots of her hands only and some of her face, both with an ice cream.
If your LO is not recognisable in a picture then you just get a basic fee, my DD got £300.00 for the day and that would have been it.(quite nice anyway!)
In this mornings post she got a buy-out cheque for another £800.00!! and it says they used the face shots so Im really pleased for her, she is 10 so appreciates the money now!! Not to mention seeing herslf on the box and not just her hands!
Hope you dont mind the show off, I just needed to share it as theres no-one home!!
Thats the most she has ever earned from a job. Anyone else had very nice fees?

dylansluckymum · 15/08/2006 15:45

wow educatingrita that's fantastic well done to your dd!

pimms - who are you in the show, i'd like to watch out for it??

i just got ds' gp cert he didn't charge me anything and was actually really nice about it! i'll have to try and make sure i always get the same dr when i need one done again. sending off the paperwork to b&b tonight... then my ds is good to go!! very excited can't wait!

mrratty · 15/08/2006 15:48

educatingrita - blimey, thats amazing!!! DD hasn't been paid for anything yet but shes only done magazine/catalouge work so won't get any buy out fees.

DP decided to take DD to her casting and they are on their way home now.

2ManyPimms - I look forward to seeing you on TV, remind us agin just before so we don't forget!!

hiya, its my first time posting on here and wanted to share the news that my daughter has just been accepted by b & b

Im so excited and so is my daughter

Tinkerbel5 · 15/08/2006 15:55

educatingrita that money is fantastic, I bet that will give you're daughter's bank balance a healthy boost

mrratty · 15/08/2006 15:59

Tinkerbel5 - Welcome!! B&B are fantastic, well done. How old is your DD.

OP posts:
educatingrita · 15/08/2006 15:59

Thanks all, its nice to be able to share with people who are genuinelly pleased for each other in their LO success.

She is with MOT and they have been excellent. Would highly reccomend them for older kids, as they get a lot of nice jobs.

Well done Tinkerbel5 on getting into B+B , they are an excellent agency! What age is your DD?

mrratty · 15/08/2006 16:04

I just bought some soapnuts for my washing and am now going to have a look to see if they are doing anything to the machine - I am a very sad person.

princessmel · 15/08/2006 16:10

Pimms and Mrratty> I've found a section on the herts county council website about modelling licences. On the agency form it has a space saying Local Education Authority ......
Do I put 'Hertfordshire' or the address on the website for the 'Performance Licence coordinator' that you take the licences to ? Please help.

mrratty · 15/08/2006 16:14

I would put hertfordshire as that is the LEA, I'm sure the agency will know the co-ordinatoor.

OP posts:
princessmel · 15/08/2006 16:16

ok thanks Mratty, it just seemed too obvious to put that iykwim.

mrratty · 15/08/2006 16:31

The little monster of mine poured a full tug of talcum powder in the bathroom, it looked very festive!!! I tried my best to clear it up but I can still see some. Why me!!!!

Educatingrita - our best was a similar amount - £895 total for an Abbey National commercial 2 years ago. She was "child-asleep-in-pushchair-while-parents-bickered" and was on screen for about one second! (Funnily enough her last casting was for a child-in-pushchair role - hope she's not being typecast lol!!!) Usually it's just the usual hour's photographic, two sometimes.

princessmel · 15/08/2006 16:43

OMG, poor you! On sunday I went into the living room to see dd and ds ripping up polystyrene (from packaging)into tiny pieces. Dh was in there with them and he said that they were "having fun". Guess who cleared up all the "snow" though?

Tinkerbel5 · 15/08/2006 16:53

mrratty DD is 5, she used to model for ES when she was a baby, but I stopped it when she had the terrible two's

DD only had 2 jobs in 2 years with ES

mrratty · 15/08/2006 17:01

Tinkerbel5 - My DD, the oen who models not the talc thrower, is also 5 and with B&B so maybe we will meet one day! When did your daughter join, was it just today?

OP posts:
Tinkerbel5 · 15/08/2006 17:34

mrratty DD had assessment last week and Im just waiting for the paperwork to come through, it would be nice to meet up with you at a casting

Im not sure what kind of work is out there for her to do at her age, so would appreciate any hints and tips please

mykidsmum · 15/08/2006 17:53

mrratty, oh your dh must have been before us in the queue, ask him if he was sitting next to the lady that started the list!!
Pimms that is so exciting can't wait to watch you, more importantly has it worked, are you more organised now??

cyan · 15/08/2006 18:09

Hi Guys!!!

Those interested could you say which dates you wont be able to make. Also if anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them, as we don't have any at the moment!!!

Mykids> you best be coming would love to finally meet you guys!!!!
