Hello...

cyan your ds is gorgeous and i love the idea of having an online journal of his photos for friends/family to see.

i asked at b&b to have access to the photos to see what other babies were in ds' age group and they told me it's only for clients. i guess every agent is different...

Dylansluckymum, urban angels are the same you can only access your own childrens pics. no real need to see the other children other than out of curiosity!!

MyThumbs, why don't you try UA in November for your dd?? or perhaps a friendly nudge in KL direction just to say hello, and that you haven't herad for a bit

very true, it is curiosity. wondering how many other boys his age etc.

i was also curious to see which pic she chose to put on of ds and what she did to it, they just used one of the snapshots i sent in apparently and said she was going to do some editing. has anyone else had that, not need a prof pic?

mykidsmum, thanks for that. i really would like to stick with KL as they have been great with dd2, and they do like dd1 and said they think it will pick up for her .. but i'll never know if KL just don't get many jobs for the older lot than other agencies. Only 4 castings and not one job for her, and i feel i've wasted dd1's time.
I have to update their pics for KL so i will do that .. then think about applying to another agency. Can't apply to UA till Nov anyway!

julie, my dd doesnt have a lot of hair, so they just combed it and sort of put it behind her ears, i think for kids with more hair they damp it down with a spray, i know ua wont allow any clips in, as when i first took her for the initial assessment she had a clip holding her fringe back, and they took it out then had trouble trying to make the hair lay flat again!

mythumbs, I'm sure things will pick up, my ds gets very little work, in fact the last couple of jobs he's done have been ones that my dd's have had and others have dropped out so he's filled in. I guess the way to go is take a laid back approach and see everything as a bonus and make sure your dd understands that the reason her sister gets more work is because they want children of her age as they don't have her sized clothes etc. Thinking about it my other ds hasn't had anywork since Matalan.

I'm waiting on a phone call as i am being interviewed for practical parenting Magazine an article on child modelling, knowing me i'll put my foot in it and say completely the wrong thing, really want to portray it as our positive experience, as i know from others opinions on here that many parents don't view it favourably!

I can't have access to my dds pics either, but when i had spoken to KL about dd1, they emailed me her model book pics.

mykidsmum, i'm hoping it will pick up, i really am .. dd2 is great about it all and gets very happy seeing dd2's pics so i don't worry about her. It's just knowing there are so many opportunites .. i just don't want to turn into a pushy mum!!
Good luck with your interview, i'm sure you'll say the right things .. you've said so many good things in the past and made many good points

dylansluckymum - B&B also use a snap shot I took of DD. It surprised as I thought it wasn't the best but they obviouslt know what they are doing as she gets castings/jobs. I found out which one they were using when I found it at a job!

Mykids - I might see you tommorow as DD also has the George casting .

Mrratty - Yup! Ol' Scarface!! I will probably dig out some of my old foundation and touch it up a bit so it doesn't look so red.

As it turns out, DH can't make the casting (I thought it would be a waste of his time anyway) so I'll probably turn up earlier. Look for me - the chubby American (is there any other kind!?) with the scar-faced DS and a lunatic blonde DD.

I'll be there early too, tallish and round wearing a bright red skirt. I'll be with just DD as DP has the week off so will be at home with little DD. Do you think they will have to try clothes on?

I hope not, they didn't last time?? I will have all four with me and will look like I'm about to blow a gasket!!!

My interview type thing with magazine went well last night, I'm sure I rambled a bit but hopefully she'll only write up the good stuff!! Also tried to get her to write an article on how great Mumsnet is, after he gina ford stuff thought it may be nice!

Mykids - Glad the interview went well! It is good that we moggler-mums and the industry in general is getting a positive boost! Let us know when it comes out - I'd love to read it!

Had a look at the coming week's TV schedule - seems that the new Anthea series is starting ALREADY! I think my programme will air sometime in early September. I dread to think what the voice-over will be like for my bit. Hope they don't take the piss TOO much.
