My ds going to see b and b tommorow then we should hear in a week so fingers crossed

lindic - yes he has won star of week on cs net which i am suprised about, just shown my son and he is very happy bless him! thanks fro telling me. not many cheeky little red haired on cs management site so he is easy to spot a mile off!

good luck with any castings etc

2many pimms - i wouldn't worry about the scar- surely they could easily blot it out with makeup or digital photos if its that bad, it will fade with time. my daughters they recon will take up to a year , hers was glued like his was so just hoping it will fade quickly!

julie4travel · 09/08/2006 16:36

lindic- i only joined up recently becuase there was an interesting job on it. hold fire until a job comes up you wish to apply for. i only subscribed for three months! not sure on what others think though as mine is early days with that site.

lindac · 09/08/2006 16:46

ellesmum · 09/08/2006 17:55

hi everyone just got back from the shoot, which went well, however my dd got tired in the end and kept running off and wouldnt stand still which was a nightmare but they got some good shots of her in the begining with a cute pink cashmere dress and cardi. the other kids that were there were all from kids london and 2 were from urban ang.

her pictures are going to be on a new designer kitware company website for babies and toddlers they are called kokobino the site is not going to be up and running untill autumn so have to wait untill then 2 see them.

thanks educatingrita i appreciate it. i'm excited but also pretty nervous as i have no idea what to expect. ellesmum just described my fear - what happens when they have off days and they don't get a good picture? they are just little after all...

mrratty · 09/08/2006 18:56

dylansmum - my daughter got upset on her first shoot as she didn't like the clothes, they found something else for her to wear and she was happy. She was booked again by the same people so they do expect children to be children!

Ragamuffin · 09/08/2006 19:13

ellesmum.....Well Done on the shoot!!! I am sure she did fine. Photographers know that late afternoon is not a good time for small children and so should have anticipated this. In fact normally shoots for little children are in the morning and older children are then used later in the day. As long as he got some good shots in the beginning it should be fine. Can't wait to see her now too! She must have looked really beautiful in pink cashmere!

Ragamuffin · 09/08/2006 19:16

Just had to turn down a modelling job for DS for tomorrow morning........agency just phoned. But I can't be in 2 places at the same time.....with DD on her shoot and DS on his. Hate it when that happens!!!!

mimi1uk · 09/08/2006 19:23

hi guys well it seems u r all so busy we r very quite, i suppose it goes that way x hope u r all ok good luck for jobs casting and so on

julie4travel · 09/08/2006 19:29

ellesmum- well done job 1 achieved!

lindic- i think i paid £15 with star now. Unfortuately on their site when you request for a job all your personal info goes through automatically so its not like you can find out the info and pass it over (they aren't silly) as I could let you know as I am a member. I have only ever seen the one thing interesting for him on their, yet i have only been looking for the last few months, will let you know if I think its worth it in a month or so if you haven't subscribed already!

ellesmum · 09/08/2006 20:24

thankyou everyone im sure they got some good shots of her in the begining we were there for 2 hours im sure any child would get ratty in that time, im excited to see her pics but have to wait untill autumn which seems like forever!!!

ellesmum · 09/08/2006 20:25

good luck to all you LOs with jobs and castings

mimi - enjoy the quiet time as im sure u will be bonbarded with work soon!

mimi1uk · 09/08/2006 20:34

i know about the wait riley burberry was done in april and had to wait till a few weeks ago till it come out with no guarntee they would use him!! but when u do see them it is well worth itim sure she looked just stunning in pink

mimi1uk · 09/08/2006 20:34

especially pink cashmere

ellesmum · 09/08/2006 22:18

i feel a bit worried this evening as cant stop thinking about how bad she was towards the end of the shoot, she wouldnt have her photo taken with the second outfit they wanted on her in.
cant be helped though as she was there for a long time. and they got good pics of her in the begining.

mrratty · 09/08/2006 22:19

DD should be in the Mothercare windows mid next week, can't wait to see her. I've only know for a couple of weeks but it feels like forever!

OP posts:
mimi1uk · 09/08/2006 22:20

ellesmum do not worry she is so young ! im sure it was just fine!

ellesmum · 09/08/2006 23:09

thanks mimi just cant help but worry im sure it will be fine, just felt helpless that i couldnt make her do what they wanted at the end, and when i saw the other little girls being so good, and elle kept running off i just felt bad. the little girl who was before her was in and out in about 20 mins and it seemed like they were taking pictures of her for ages and then they said they wanted to try another outfit on her and i just knew she had had enough by then. i am proud of her i think she did well for her first time.

marrty - well done for your little one getting mothercare is it on their website?

mrratty · 10/08/2006 09:24

ellesmum - I really wouldn't worry at all. At least she was good for a while. I heard of a little boy who kicked the photographer at a casting, at least things weren't that bad! 2 year olds don't thget great deal of jobs because the majority of them are diffcult to work with.
Yes she is on the mothercare website, on the homepage is a picture of a boy and girl wearing unifrom - thats her, click on it to see it bigger, the same picture is also on the back to school catalouge and I assume that will be the one in the window!

ellesmum · 10/08/2006 09:57

just had a look at your dds picture she is very pretty! what a great pic!

yes i guess your right she is only little and she did really well in the begining i am very proud of her and cant wait to see her pics.

princessmel · 10/08/2006 15:22

Hi everyone,

Got my letter from GP today for licence and it costs £28! Does anyone else need to pay for GP letters? I need to get a new one every 6 months. It seems to be a lot of money to pay out at the start even though its not as much as some other agencies, photo shoot, model book etc. I hope dd gets some jobs. Nobody on here has mentioned Bubblegum for ages so thats making me worry. It was dd's first birthday yesterday btw.

julie4travel · 10/08/2006 15:56

princessmel- i paid £25 for my last drs letter
My friend with bubblegum has had quite a few castings etc with them over the last few weeks (on teh positive side of things)

b and b went good today, my son was all bubbily etc, fingers crossed we hear a next. on the down side they have loads of red heads on their books so who knows!
