elles mum did u get my email x just started working

littlemadam · 06/08/2006 19:50

Julie, think so, I would ring them and ask for directions, they will be happy to do that. I went for the photoshoot, so you may need a different entrance or something.

Good luck Elle and Marymay and everyone else with a casting...we are having the day in London with DS and a friend, so any ideas for child friendly fun things????

ellesmum · 06/08/2006 20:08

MIMI - yes i got your pic it was really nice!!

Ragamuffin · 06/08/2006 21:09

littlemadam........The Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are always great for kids......and they are free!!! Mine have been several times and still enjoy a trip back there when we can fit it in!

Good Luck for all the castings on Monday!! Especially those of you with a possible overseas filmed ad at the end of it. Those are always really exciting! Sort of wonder if we'd have had a call for this one had we not a holiday starting Sunday next week!!

Ellesmum........enjoy the first casting! Just have lots of fun. We always treat our trips to London as an adventure as you never quite know where they might lead you!

littlemadam · 06/08/2006 21:36

Thanks Ragamuffin, will go and get the map now!! Have a great holiday, where are you going?? we can't get away this Summer because of DH work commitments, but hoping to visit mum and dad in Oz for Christmas, Chrimbo breakfast barbie anyone!! Just that 24 hour flight...

Ragamuffin · 06/08/2006 21:50

littlemadam.........off to France for 2 weeks!!! Our first summer holiday in 6yrs!! Normally DH can't spare the time either. I have a sister in OZ....recently emimigrated and married now living in Brisbane. Oh for a barbie at Christmas.......as a S.Afican........quite the norm for us!!

Both museums close to each other. Get off tube at South Kensington......and there are directions from tube station with underground walkways.....very easy to find!

YummyMummy21 · 06/08/2006 23:46

HI ALL,

Good Luck for any LO's with castings this week

Havnt posted for a few days, took DD to the JL casting on Fri which was a complete waste of time as they didnt even have her sized clothing (12-18), so she got squeezed into a 9-12 months.

We should find out tomorrow if she got it or not as they were shooting on Tuesday, but I dont hold out much hope.

Still havnt heard anymore about the C&G job, but we are going to get the license on Wednesday, havnt had DD pics done yet though, so I will have to take her tomorrow.

To all of those that I met today, it was great to meet you all at long last and put a face to the names. We will have to do it again soon

Take Care xXx

2ManyPimms · 07/08/2006 10:43

So what did I miss!!!!!!?????? Super castings? Jobs? Auditions?????

Got back late last night from France. Weather good. Food fab. Seriously tired. DD didn't sleep well whilst there so therefore neither did I.

DS had a sniff of a possible audition for a French meat commercial but didn't hear back from B&B so that's out. Had quite a shock when DS's invoice from the E4 ident came thru - MUCH less than anticipated. I guess they don't do "buy outs" for things like that. Drat. He wanted to buy an electric train set with the proceeds of that job.

DD is in front of the "electronic babysitter" and I need to get my act together and start getting things put away. When I have some time 2nite, I'll pop on and see what has been going on!

julie4travel · 07/08/2006 10:51

2manypimms - glad you had a nice time

ellesmum- spoke to b and b today and the modelbook at approx £120 is purely optional and you don't have to go in it if you go with them. the photos they use on their website if accepted is purely the snapshots took at the initial assesment so as far as I am concerned if they say yes to my ds it wont cost me anything and the website charge is took from his first job so all in all think they are a good package. have you paid for a photoshoot or anything with kl?
let us know how the casting went today

lindac · 07/08/2006 10:56

princessmel · 07/08/2006 12:09

Hi Lindac, did you mention a certain author who we're not allowed to talk about any more? ( see bottom of thread)I'm just guessing if maybe they deleted all posts that mention her? Don't know if you did or not its just a suggestion as to why its gone.

tigeryuan · 07/08/2006 12:18

julie4travel · 07/08/2006 12:52

lindic- great the book looks good. didn't want to spend out until I new if it was alright

when r u going back to see carole? is your dd on her books and website? I see loads of new girls have joined her there are pages of them on her web. fingers crossed for lots of work for us

lindic- sometimes people report unappropriate posts, we have had that before different people reporting others. Its mainly swearing etc and none of your posts have been like that so i wouldn't worry. was it on aug thread or julys?

mythumbelinas · 07/08/2006 12:52

tigeryuan · 07/08/2006 13:03

mythumbelinas - thanks!
remember that i asked my friend to join kl few months ago, she didnt do it in the end!!

ellesmum · 07/08/2006 13:14

hello everyone just got back from my daughters casting, she did really well, was smiling and jumping in front of the camera, they put a georgeous pink cashmere dress on her which looked so cute! there were lots of kids there from kids london and bruce and brown, there was 2 kids from urban ang. there wasnt many girls there elles age they were either babies or 4-5 year olds so that was promising. we went by car in the end and got there within an hour which was good. just need 2 wait 4 the outcome now but was a great experience!
