hi, has anyone with older kids 7+ had any jobs/castings lately? the deafening silence of the telephone is getting to my eldest, she keeps asking why nobody wants her.. how do you explain to older ones that its not them, she is so desperate to do this?

I rest my case

PiccadillyCircus · 09/01/2006 10:26

I wish I could think of a witty name to call a modelling agency .

Brain has gone completely I think.

Someone's gonna have a go now;

"How dare you insinuate that because we take our children to modelling agencies they are somehow spoilt or vain and that we are pushy! Just because I sign my dd up with 5 different agencies does not mean to say that I think she is more beautiful that any of your ugly broods. And of course she does not miss out on her childhood! She has lots of friends at the agencies and they all do each other's hair and make-up whilst waiting for the shoot, just like any ordinary little girl! And of course, for us it is nothing to do with all that lovely money that we can spend on designer gear, noooo, it's about having fun. Our treasures enjoy the shoots! Standing around for ages whilst the lighting is just right, sitting still whilst having their hair and make-up done, getting dressed and undressed all the time, it's great fun! We simply wouldn't do it otherwise!"

ScummyMummy · 09/01/2006 10:27

Case made perfectly, Enid.

NomDePlume · 09/01/2006 10:27

that is bang on, Rhuby.

ScummyMummy · 09/01/2006 10:28

Sure is.

codthemod · 09/01/2006 10:28

i hope this kills this 5 YEAR OLD THREAD

Enid · 09/01/2006 10:28

I have worked with loads of kids on shoots and I although they were very good on the whole I can't imagine that any of them actually enjoyed it. They were all babies and toddlers though.

I do think its different when they are a bit older and can decide for themselves and are acting a bit rather than just standing there.

ScummyMummy · 09/01/2006 10:32

Wow- 5 years? I've never noticed it before!
