Blondeinlondon · 13/12/2005 20:08

So is it still only Elliott Brown and Bruce & Brown that don't charge

tigeryuan · 13/12/2005 20:15

perfumelady - don;t know urben angels wants sole rep. thanks for the info.

marymay · 13/12/2005 20:23

perfumelady .its only a feeling about the hair as all the other girls hairs were really long and my dd hair is a few inches past her shoulders.they also asked her to stand so the could photograph her hair.i will have to check the emails in the morning before i go out.

Hiya
My son is with norrie carr and work seems to have dried up of late, is this normal? I have recently been in touch with Elisabeth Smith, ALphabet Kidz and Bizzykidz who are all interested in him.
I have concerns about the latter two as they dont want to meet just sign him up on the spot, whereas with Norrie we had to go through the whole rigmarole of interview, phototshoot etc. I don't know what to do.
I know ELisabeth Smith is a great agency and they are quite fussy, the other thing is they are 10 mins away from where I live whereas Norrie is alot further, I know the shoots tend to be in London which I dont have a problem with. I need some advice! thanks

does anyone feel they are not getting enough work with BK. they seem to accept so many kids. and i agree with whoever said its best not to accept the first thing that comes along. am i alone in thinking this?

lanismum · 13/12/2005 23:00

kylesmybaby- my little girl is with bizzykidz, shes been with them about 6 months, shes not had any work, or even a casting, but maybe this is just because her look is not needed at the min? i applied to urban angels, and they want to see her in jan, so ill see what happens, maybe if they accept her, ill go with them and see if she has any more luck!

hunkermunker · 13/12/2005 23:01

Hey, you should post pics of your children on member profiles - I'd love to see some of them!

lanismum · 13/12/2005 23:03

i put my little girl on a while back, but i cant seem to remember how to resize them, will have a try........

kylesmybaby · 13/12/2005 23:12

hi - i am looking to join another agency but it seems i would have wasted my money with no return.

kylesmybaby · 13/12/2005 23:14

can i ask when you applied to urban angels (looks great) becasue on their website they say the are not accepting new kids till May which seems a little odd. just wonedered if you applied recently. thanks

yackertyyack · 13/12/2005 23:21

hi kylesmybaby,
I think it is just a very quiet time at the moment - most of the spring/summer catalogues have been done and companies are slowing down for christmas/newyear. We are with kidslondon and they only have a couple of hundred kids on their books but that does not guarentee that we will get work - just being in the right place at the right time will!!!
Also, someone commented on it being strange that you can't see models on the KL website - I actually prefer only clients being able to see my little one - at least not just anyone can see his pictures. I have seen how he is represented on the web and it is just the picture that I sent them along with his measurements. I am happy with that and it has got him jobs....so it must be working ok.

lanismum · 13/12/2005 23:25

i think i applied about 4ish weeks ago, they said i had just missed their last intake of kids, but that they wanted to see her in jan, and would be in touch.

yackertyyack · 13/12/2005 23:25

kylemybaby,
Urban angels are seeing babies in january......how old is your little one?

lanismum · 13/12/2005 23:26

i thought their website looked really cool too........!

kylesmybaby · 13/12/2005 23:54

hi - just four last week - maybe i should send some photos to them anyway - i really like the sound of urban angels - not sure why! although its quiet now i have looked back over thread and not sure if anyone has said that BK turned their child down.

kylesmybaby · 13/12/2005 23:55

hi lanismum - did you send photos or e-mail?

kylesmybaby · 13/12/2005 23:59

hi yackertyyack -Urban angels and kids London are the ones i will apply to if i give up with BK what best way to apply for Kidz London? also do you know what charges are involved with both of them/ thanks

marymay · 14/12/2005 00:02

klyemybaby.my dd joined urban angels in october.they take on babies in january and children in may and october.i believe they keep their numbers down and dont have children that look alike on their books.

lanismum · 14/12/2005 00:04

i applied by e-mail, im much too lazy to post letters

yackertyyack · 14/12/2005 08:51

hi kylesmybaby,
kidslondon only accept apllications by post I am afraid-which is a bit of a bore but they are very quick in their response! I posted photos on a thursday afternoon and had an acceptance letter by the saturday morning. For babies up to 3 (because they are not in the model book) they charge a one off £25 which is taken from the first job - not sure what it is for older children in the model book - someone did mention it earlier but i can't think what it was..sorry!
How long have you been with BK and have you had any castings/jobs with them???

sh11 · 14/12/2005 09:32

gumbee - 13 Oct 2005 wrote she only paid £40 to Bizzykids, how come we paid £95 in November.

cyan · 14/12/2005 09:44

Hi i really need some advice, im not sure whether or not to keep my son on at norrie carr or switch him to elisabeth smith, BK or Alphabet Kidz, are any of you signed with norrie on here? how have you found the agency, i have been with them a few months but im tempted by es any help would be great

perfumelady · 14/12/2005 11:23

cyan if you feel unsure with norrie carr then what have you got to loose by going with elizabeth smith, from what i've heard it's quite hard to get excepted by e/s so they must think they would be able to get your child work, go with your gut feeling. my dd is with urban angels and i'm 100% happy with the agency so would not even think about changing. if you have doubts maybe norrie carr isn't right for you.
